This was my second time in this place, the first time was over 5 years ago and I was not that impressed with their food to be honest, but I decided to give them a second chance after looking online their menu and with my mind set on exactly what I wanted to eat long before even getting in my car, I went with renewed interest.
Unfortunately, on this occasion when my order was brought to the table it was wrong, and I do understand that errors happen to the best people, I was not upset about it and working with costumers myself I am very mindful of my manners and the tone of my voice when I, as a costumer, need to address issues like this with staff. Quite honestly it is possible that I misspoke when I placed the order but, in any case, I did not appreciate to be confronted when I told the staff that my order was wrong by someone who did not even took my order in the first place but was in the next register taking care of another costumer. After a brief exchange on which I was told repeatedly that I ordered what they served me and that she hear me ask for it while attending other costumers I was harshly told that they will exchange the plate, I felt gaslighted and the undertone make it clear that she meant as a favor to me, then I got a bit more frustrated and told the staffer that I did not want my plate to be exchange just to satisfy my whim, that my order was wrong and then the mood really turned sour, I was told to my dismay that there was a “price difference” which clearly was the ill justification of the confrontation, the difference was exactly $2.16. It became more evident that the unnecessary challenging tone and harshness from the staff came front a place of mistrust in their costumers and maybe that I was trying to talk my way into a more expensive plate. After the $2.16 price difference remark I immediately demanded to paid that difference, I walked to the register and did so without any further comment, I proceed to thank them for their help or lack of, and with a ruined appetite and a bitter aftertaste for the exchange and not the food, I promptly left without even waiting for the food. I tried the ceviche and noticed it had serrano peppers as an ingredient. Being not fond of spicy food, I thought I would still give it a try. I am so glad I did! I ordered a shrimp cocktail with octopus and the first time I was charged extra for the octopus but didn’t get it , I called them and they said they would take care of it next time . I ordered again today and placed the same order and this time I did not get the shrimp , are you kidding me . I tried Caling several times and the line was busy all times . I then drove back and told them and took my cup with me . They took my cup and added the shrimp in the same cup , I asked them if I could get another extra cup or something since I had to drive back for the inconvenience , they said no and gave me my same cup back .
