Staff was extremely rude at check out. I had two items separated from the individual in front of me. There was not a separator within reach (as it was towards the front of the register while I was at the back of the line) so I put a considerable amount of space on the conveyor belt between my items and the person in front of me. The cashier accidentally scanned my items with the items of the person in front of me (which is understandable) as I was trying to tell him the two items were mine. He cursed and said “don’t forget about the stick” before huffing and muttering something else under his breath. He refused to address me the rest of the transaction, even though I had already apologized and was polite for the entirety of the interaction. After chewing me out, the person behind me (who also had not originally seen the separator at the front of the converter belt) put one on the line after seeing how I was treated. The cashier handed me my receipt without a word and very loudly said “Thank you for remembering the stick” to further point out how much I had “inconvenienced him” with my two items. I did not get the name of the cashier because I had no further use for someone who was so impolite, but whoever was working at this location at 5:30 on 9/1, I hope that you got some bit of joy from being so unprofessional...
Read more3/15/21 around 6:30pm Cashier was very rude to me at this location. A short, African American woman with orange dyed hair. I asked her politely if she could put the products in my basket instead of the basket by the register as I know that one was hers and I was starting to move the food to switch the baskets but she yanked her basket and say "this one was hers" and that she "would need a basket here at all times". I'm not sure where that came from? As I know that, I was asking if I could switch them.
She got my boyfriend's stuff next and she was throwing it in the basket. We ended up taking the one by the register and left the other one. And she did not give me my reciept either. I had to ask her twice after she got done scanning all my boyfriend's items if I could have my receipt please, which she did with an attuide. If these people don't want to work here, then please quit so your manager can find people who has some CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS and who ACTUALLY wants...
Read moreIf you have never been to Aldi, here are a few tips: 1) bring a quarter. You have to rent a cart. You get your quarter back when you return your cart. 2) bring your own bags. If you don't have reuseable bags, you can buy some there. 3) pack your own groceries. Your items will be put in your cart and you'll need to pack them away from the register when you pay. There's a tabling area you can pack it up. 4) if you see something you like, buy it then, it may not be a regular item they carry. After you go a few times, you'll learn what is regular vs what is special or seasonal. 5) many items are house brands that look like famous brands but at closer look, aren't. You'll get used to it and the quality is usually comprable. 6) produce is great and usually cheap! 7) They accept debit/credit cards finally...
