Wow. I have never been fond of this location but this place to begin with BUt it’s the closest location to my moms so when she’s craving salad and pizza this is when she goes. They remodeled but the remodeling does NOT match the staff. The staff is not welcoming, did not smile and I did not hear the “Hi Welcome to Cicis” tradition, I believe that was broken awhile back. I had the worst visit ever. The pizza tasted like dough, not spinach flavor nor pepperoni and jalapeño flavor at all. It was my sisters treat and honestly feel bad for just having 2.5 slices. It was horrible and I guess the changes the style because the slices were super thin. We got there between 5 & 6 and it was not very busy. The pizza was hard and cold as if it were sitting there for awhile and the warmers weren’t set at the right tempature. I figured since it was dinner time more pizzas would be cooking to replace the old ones, there were some cooking and there were plenty of staff but they were just here for a paycheck. My sister was craving the warm noodles, and she got up exactly 5x to check if the noodles had been refilled. Seriously how long does it take to cook noodles?? Finally an employee filled the pot but the noodles and they were cold!!!! wow. My sister spit them out as she took the first spoonful (literally) I was so upset. There was a manager that was there once before very nice always greeted everyone and asked if everything was ok. He obviously no longer works there. I work in customer service myself and always bend my back for customers to make sure the customer feels content in spending every dollar wisely. I will continue visiting my Irving locations, it’s about a 18-22 minute commute from my moms. But know next time my family wants to spend $47 and have 100% customer satisfaction it would be...
Read moreI am a regular visitor and order-er for school functions and work. This location has drastically decreased in service and cleanliness in the last 6-12 months. The restaurant was @ 1/3 full on this visit Sat. 4-6-19 at 6pm. We waited 2-3 min for someone to greet and take our order. The salad bar was missing several items, dressings were not all labeled and bottles were dirty. Beverage bar had no ice except the pile that was all over the counter. The floor was filthy-debris around many tables and people actually had to walk through garbage to sit in the booths. Except for a few table tops, no attempt was made to clean during the 40 min of our visit. Request for cheese pizza went unfilled for 10 minutes. There was no Parmesan cheese in the only available container on the counter and and the container was dirty. What happened to the containers on the table or the packets of cheese and peppers? My prior visit was on a Saturday @ 3 weeks ago as they opened. Booths were not clean, the service bar had garbage around the holes and backsplash and the floor appeared swept but not mopped. No night cleaners?? Lack of cleanliness on the last 2 visits now makes me wonder the cleanliness of food prep. Where are the managers that used to be visible, keeping the restaurant clean and taking care of customers? Much to my dismay, I will for sure try another...
Read moreWalking in I could just tell it had been a crazy day for the staff but no one looked defeated and everyone had a smile on their face. I know most think a smile isn’t a big deal but while we were walking in a couple was yelling at staff bc they were asked to put their masks on so keeping your composure in times like this is definitely a plus in my books. The manager Glen, where do I even begin? Not only was he personable, he was kind and attentive. The way he treated us made our experience like no other. Let alone the weather being horrible, but being in the middle of a pandemic and the employees having to serve us our food (for safety), he never once looked bothered nor frustrated which hasn’t been the case at other locations. I’m fact, he told me he needed to keep us warm and full for this weather, which I thought was hilarious. He later made it a point to stop by our table and chat for a bit, keeping it super light hearted at a safe distance. I can without a doubt say it’s been one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The world we currently live in is full of hate and bitterness so tonight was a breath of fresh air. Glen definitely gave me a feeling of “we’re all in this together but we’ll get through it” and I appreciate that more than anything. Someone please give Glen a raise! Or at least a...
