Sunset Crab Shack - Pleasant Grove — Restaurant in Dallas

Let me start off by saying this was my 1st time here. I came in and placed a order to go. Drove 23 mins only to get home and my order was wrong. I ordered a crab boil and 1/2 pound of shrimp. They gave me all shrimp! When I called in they told me I needed to come back to the restaurant because the cook said he put crab in the bag. Clearly he didn’t because I had 2 different flavors and the crab boil don’t come with shrimp. I drove back to the restaurant where I met the youngest nonchalant manager by the name of Cynthia. She could care less that I worked all day and ordered takeout cause I was too tired to cook only to have my order wrong. They didn’t offer me anything for my inconvenience. Then gone point to a sign talking about we ask that you check orders before you leave. First off this was my first time here and who reads all the signs when you tired and hungry. And why should I have to check behind employees at a restaurant? That sounds like her job to me! I came in and clearly spoke my order to the waitress my job was done. But now I see why cause it’s young staffed. I left Sunset Crab worse off than I came and with less gas in my car from having to drive back. O one more thing I had my food in a bowl they dumped my food out and gave me my bowl back. I guess that’s what happens when a company let 22 year olds be managers. I would add pictures but that food gone. I've read other reviews and my reviews are just what they are. Don't expect to come somewhere with a family of 35 and 5 kids with 3 servers and service to be excellent. That's a tag team table. My thoughts go where you have to make a reservation if you expect that. But anyway from my experience having it used to be Rosie's is nice how they redid the insides. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich basket and gumbo. Listen this is how food is supposed to be. The gumbo was gumboin the buffalo chicken sandwich was sandwiching and the fries that came with it FRESH AND hot just like the whole meal. The tea could use more tea bags. Way to much sugar added lemon to cut the sugar but it was also good to wash down. Hold let me taste the water. Water is very exceptional if your a water drinker. I think the young lady could be just a little bit more attentive. Fresh brewed tea could be on stand by. No liquid diabetes but, like I said add the lemon and everything else is good. I didn't try any drinks this time but if it's like any of the food then don't sleep on this place. And people stop being afraid to come to the hood. The atmosphere is great they have TVs to watch the the game and music. Their growing at this location. Great location...

Sunset crab in this location could be upgraded. The staff is great, they are young they are very nice but they are not that well-trained. I had to ask twice for a refill of water, the young hostess told me I could sit anywhere and she was the one who provided me my refills of water while cleaning. The food as you can see, I had blackened salmon asparagus and white rice. They did not have any dirty rice, the steamed rice was sticky as can be, overcooked and under seasoned as well as the salmon which was not blackened. I had to add my own black pepper and salt to it for flavor. The asparagus was not seasoned either and it too was overcooked. The staff was nice, just not trained well in customer service and I believe the same for the cook who would pop in and out of the kitchen with a straw in his mouth stand at the bar. I also moved to the bar from the table because I wanted to watch the games, but a Hispanic mother and daughter were served before me, their orders were taken before mine, after arriving 7 to 10 minutes and after me. 3 stars for Sunset Crab because of my beautiful and sweet young hostess and my Lovely server who took my order AND, who recognized I had not been...
