Me and my wife dined in tonight from around 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM on Saturday, August 2nd. The restaurant was full, but the wait was short; Around five to ten minutes. The hostess was really sweet, and they sat us in a booth with who we later found out to be Gisele. As a server myself, I am very observant when it comes to being served by someone else. This also makes me very understanding to certain situations that might be happening behind the scenes; However, I was very disappointed by the service me and my wife received tonight. It took about five minutes to be greeted by our waitress, and from the get-go she seemed to be in a rush. She greeted us without telling us her name, and quickly got our drink order and appetizer order before running off, and not returning with our two drinks (which were only fountain drinks) until after our appetizer came out about ten to fifteen minutes later. Again, I was very understanding as I knew she might be busy with her other tables or maybe doing side work in the back. When she returned with our drinks, I had asked her for an extra sauce for our appetizer, and this is when I noticed her vibe was off. She seemed annoyed, and she never smiled the whole time we were there. She rarely spoke and it was like we were inconveniencing her when we asked for anything, which was almost impossible since she would run off before we even had time to ask. When she would stop by our table, (which was maybe five times the whole time we were there) she would never stand in front of us and give us the time to speak, she would always be walking by quickly while talking. We never had straws the whole time we were there, and at this point, I felt more comfortable drinking out of my dirty glass than asking her for anything else, since she acted so irritated when we asked for anything like refills or more bread. By the time we got our food we were ready to go, so we waited for her to come back so we could ask her for togo boxes and the bill. She asked us if we wanted any cheesecake, but we already discussed buying it up at the front as we didn't want to wait any longer for her. We ended up paying the bill, and she never came back with the boxes. My wife ended up asking the hostess for one, and she was happy to help us. I am not sure if our server was having a bad day, or if maybe she had some predetermined notion that we were not planning to tip her as we look a little young, and as a server I know all too well about those notions. However; We were very respectful the whole time, and fully planned on tipping heavy as we always do, and it was like she just wanted us to leave the moment we sat down. We had to ask for refills every time, which I feel like is not appropriate since you can clearly see we need one, not to mention we were sitting right by the kitchen, and it would take less than a minute to grab it for us. She never even tried to fake a smile or tell us to have a good night when we left. Just basic things that literally every server should know; It was not happening. Hopefully she is just new, or maybe having a bad day, because honestly I feel like someone who has never served a day in their life could've done a better job than she did. We ended up getting our cheesecake from the front and the workers up there was so awesome and kind. I am hoping this was only a one time thing as me and my wife love coming to...
Read moreI recently visited The Cheesecake Factory, and while our server was very kind and attentive, our overall dining experience was disappointing.
We placed our order, and unfortunately, my son’s dish was served incorrectly. He ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, but the chicken was missing. My husband ordered the Chicken Chipotle Pasta, requesting it extra spicy, and I ordered a large portion of French fries since we always finish them.
When the food arrived, my son’s dish was missing the grilled chicken. The Chicken Chipotle Pasta lacked any real spice—let alone chipotle flavor—which was very disappointing. I used to visit this restaurant frequently, but I gradually stopped going because the Chicken Chipotle Pasta’s flavor became inconsistent. The last time I visited, about three months ago, the dish tasted great, but this time, it was completely off.
The fries were another letdown—some were cold, others were dry and hard. When I asked our server if my son’s dish only included that small portion of chicken, she confirmed it did. I told her that it didn’t seem right and clarified that I knew it wasn’t her fault, but rather the restaurant’s. She mentioned it was supposed to be a full chicken breast, but what we got were just five tiny pieces.
I believe our server spoke to the manager, who then approached our table and kindly offered to bring more grilled chicken for my son’s dish. I appreciated the gesture, and the manager was very professional. However, after this experience, I don’t know when I’ll return. The inconsistency with the Chicken Chipotle Pasta is frustrating—it sometimes tastes great, and other times, it’s completely different. I’m not sure if they change chefs or modify the recipe, but it’s not the same.
As for the fries, we barely ate half of them.
At the end of the meal, I paid using the app by scanning the QR code. I didn’t leave a tip through the app because I always tip in cash when leaving the restaurant. I noticed the server seemed a bit disappointed, probably thinking I didn’t leave a tip. However, I want to clarify that I left her $20 in cash because she was very kind and attentive. I always make sure to tip well when the service is good, and I completely understand that the food issues were not her fault.
I hope this review helps improve the quality of the food, as the service...
Read moreOn Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, I ate with my wife and two kids at the Cheesecake Factory in Dallas. My wife and I are Cheesecake Factory fanatics and will always go out of our way to eat there if the city we are in has one. Although we were in Dallas for just 12 hours during a layover we made sure to pay CF a visit.
We went for lunch and were seated in about 15 minutes…maybe the quickest we have ever been seated at a Cheesecake Factory. Kevin was our server. He apologized when he introduced himself and said that numerous items weren’t available because of limited staffing and supply chain issues. He was carrying a long sheet of receipt paper that listed all the items that weren’t available. Although Kevin said it was mostly brunch items such as pancakes and waffles that were not available, the two items I tried to order (orange chicken and then cashew chicken) were also not available.
I ended up getting the spaghetti and meat balls lunch portion. My wife got the Louisiana chicken pasta and my kids ordered from the children’s menu and got mini corn dogs and sliders. Oh yes, let me not forget, we got the cheeseburger spring rolls as an appetizer. We didn’t have to wait long for our food and it was all fresh, hot, and delicious. We split the ‘Smores Galore cheesecake and it was superb. You know what the sign of a good dessert is? When you are completely stuffed but will still eat every bite of a dessert. If you haven’t tried S’mores Galore yet at Cheesecake Factory you need to do it!
Kevin was a really good server. Super attentive and outgoing. He tried his best to offer menu suggestions when the items I tried to order weren’t available. It is a nice Cheesecake Factory in a nice part of Dallas.
Our kids were not well behaved at our meal and spent more time goofing around at the table instead of eating their lunches. Because of that, we had pretty much all of their sliders, corn dogs, and fries left over. We got boxes so they could maybe eat on the way to the airport. Right when we stepped outside we realized we left the boxes at the table. My wife ran in to try and retrieve them but an employee said they already threw our leftovers out so that was a little disappointing. But overall, this Cheesecake Factory definitely lived up to the solid reputation of...
