1st, this is my opinion on this reastuant part only, but the food was not worth it. The grocery store part IS worth going to. I did rate Eatily itself seperate. Very awesome atmosphere and nice staff, but the product was lacking in Il Pataio. Drink: It gave me flavored sparkling water. I did not taste the juice or alcohol. I did not even finish it and just stuck with the tap water. It was so unbearable, I don't even remember the name of it and had to look it up. It was the Lampone Blossom. I'm starting to think I got the wrong drink as it was supposed to come with an edible flower. Mine had a mint leaf in it. App: foccacia pomodoro mozzarella. This was the most positive part of the dining experience, but I still have mixed feelings. The bread was baked well, but they need to take mozzarella outta the name. A tomato sneezed on this, and someone dropped a quarter or a mozzarella stick on it before it went in the oven. I felt it was more like a dinner roll. Should have been served with dipping olive oil/herbs or a simple marinara or even some butter. I did eat over 50% of it, as once again, it was baked to perfection. But check out my pic, and you can see I'm not exaggerating about the lack of mozzarella. Main: tonnarelli cacio e pepe. Just no. The pasta was extra al dente extreme. I literally had 2 bites. I was happy about the small portion as I wasted the food. It lacked flavor, cream, etc. I can say I tasted the black pepper. I got second-hand embarrassment as I know they are supposed to be hand-made fresh pasta, but I would have preferred the chef to go grab pasta from the shelf to cook. I wanted dessert, but I was not willing to wish it. Overall, I should have gone to the pizza and sandwich bar. This fresh pasta, in my opinion, was overrated.

Went to Eataly’s restaurant fest on March 27th and they were much more crowded than we were expecting! We ended up having to wait 20 min past our arrival time (15 min after arrival time) to be seated. They had to add extended seating in a different area. We were celebrating a birthday so this was a special occasion. Though apprehensive at first given their logistics problem, But they redeemed themselves! Tonya, the manager, was extremely considerate and comped the birthday girls bottle of wine and gave us a free tiramisu. The girls loved the wine so much. They almost bought a bottle in the shop afterwards! Additionally, this was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had, I highly recommend it if you go to dine in there Even though we got it for free, I will be back to purchase more!!! The pasta experience itself was incredible. All the sauces were Deliciously rich And flavorful - The pepper, basil, and olive oil We’re very prominent as per a true Italian dish. thank you for a decadent meal!

Should have listened to the reviews and stayed away, but we were in Eataly over lunch and ended up needing to eat.

It took about 5 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us after we were seated. When they did we were asked with a mumble what kind of water we wanted. It took another 5 minutes for our server to come by and take our order. We were rushed while our order was taken and didn't feel like we could really interact with our server or ask questions.

Our appetizers arrived and we still weren't yet given utensils. That was after multiple SA and server visits before this time. We tried flagging down multiple people before we finally got our server who plopped down a stack of utensils in the middle of the table.

Our pasta arrived but there was a mixup with the order. Instead of placing dishes in front of each person who ordered them, they were quickly auctioned off one by one. When we didn't answer quickly enough, they were just placed in the middle of the table. Slowly I began to realize half the dishes weren't ours. Then another server arrived with the correct order and started to auction off each dish again. Employees were getting visibly mad and started exchanging words. In the chaos, we ended up with one dish that we never ordered. Once again we had to flag down someone who didn't even acknowledge us and straight up ignore us.

We finally ended up with our correct dishes. 2 of 4 were okay. But I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. Go somewhere else and pay 35 bucks a person to get actual service and a better dining...
