My opinion on this place is itâs not worth the hour drive we took are the amount of money they charged for some of their food.. My mom, boyfriend and I visited this place on 3/16/24. The customer service was good the lady at the register was very nice and friendly. If you do visit this place expect a wait of 20-30mins. When we went there were only 2 people working the cook and the cashier. Iâm not sure if more people work there are not but there were only 2 when we went. The cashier had to stop taking orders to bring out food and the cook also had to stop making food to bring out food, but they did a great job for it to just be 2 of them.
2.FOOD ⢠Fried Catfish- $7.95 for 1 piece and it wasnât big are anything just a normal piece of catfish. It was very salty. We all ordered 1 piece each. Boyfriend ate his because he doesnât like wasting food me and mom on the other hand could not finish it just to salty. â˘10 piece teriyaki wings $14.50- boyfriend ordered these and they were pretty good ⢠10 piece Buffalo lemon $14.50- these to were a little salty but not as much as the fish. The ranch was not very good either so I took these home to each with my favorite ranch at home. â˘10 piece wings Buffalo lemon and Honey mustard 14.50 -same for Buffalo lemon and my mom said she liked the honey mustard. She also took her Buffalo lemon home to eat with ranch at home. â˘Alfredo Parmesan fries $14.50- 10/10 these were best thing that we ate it was only thing we didnât take home they were amazing! â˘Kool-aid $3.50- to sweet for me but boyfriend like it. It definitely wasnât worth $3.50. My mom just had a can Dr.pepper which cost her $2.50. The ranch was 75 cents a container and we got 5.
All together her paid we paid a little over $100 after tax. It definitely wasnât worth all that money.
We came from Fort Worth and drove a little over a little over a hour. It wasnât worth drive and we probably wonât be back unless we are on that side of time for something then we might stop...
Read moreAfter a long day at work, I pulled up to VW on Thursday, curious to see what all the Instagram buzz was about regarding "the best wings in Dallas." My partner and I eagerly placed our order: a dozen wingsâsix coated in honey chile and six in sweet Georgia brownâalongside three refreshing daiquiris, a crispy piece of catfish, and a side of golden fries.
The honey chile wings were enveloped in a glossy, sticky honey sauce with notes of lemon pepper. While the initial burst of honey was delightful, it quickly overshadowed the subtle lemon pepper seasoning, making the sweetness feel a bit overwhelming after just a couple of wings.
In contrast, the sweet Georgia brown wings began with a gentle sweetness, but then a warm heat built up on the back endâa pleasant surprise that lingered but didn't overpower. It was a memorable flavor journey that kept me coming back for more bites.
The fries were nothing short of perfectionâfreshly cooked, puffed up, and crispy, all while being generously seasoned. They paired beautifully with our meal. As for the catfish filet, we requested it to be fried hard, and it arrived with a beautifully crisp cornmeal crust that delivered a satisfying crunch with each bite.
And those daiquiris⌠wow! They packed a punch with their flavor and strength, reminiscent of a night out with friends, definitely not for the faint of heart.
In total, we spent just over forty-one dollars before tip, which felt like an excellent deal given the quality of the food and drinks. I would wholeheartedly recommend VW for a casual lunch or an after-work gathering. I can't wait to return and try their chicken Alfredo...
Read moreA great hole in the wall chicken shop! I saw this place on social media and just had to try it out and this place didnât disappoint! Like my god, staff was friendly, food was fresh and hot, and pretty reasonable pricing.
The boyfriend and I shared:
Hot Honey Traditional Wings Hot (Dry Rub) Traditional Wings Sweet Chili Boneless Wings Valley Gold Boneless Wings Chicken Alfredo Fries Regular Fries 2 Daiquiris
All of the things we ordered were amazing. The food came out fresh and in batches (which we both preferred) and started munching away as soon as they started coming out to us. By the way, all of the wings and fries were crispy even if the wings looks drenched in sauce, try the wings out yourselves to see what I mean! The staff checked on us periodically to make sure if we needed anything and were super nice about everything. We were both surprised that they werenât busy when we went (Friday around lunchtime) since this place is SUPER underrated and I recommend coming by during the weekday and eating at the restaurant since youâll get the food fresh. We will be coming back and hopefully trying their desserts on our next visit!
10/10 would...
