Velvet Taco — Restaurant in Dallas

I ordered online and arrived 10 minutes later and was greeted by Robert at the take out window. He was hispanic(?) with a moustache. He said he didn't see my order. I pulled out a receipt on my phone, and he went back to the store to check the computer, and said that he saw my order on the computer, and indicated I needed to wait in my car and he would "wave" to me from the window when my order finished. I waited another 15 minutes with no waving (30 minutes total wait now) I then came inside, and he was busy talking to people and not working like he was supposed to. I talked to a very helpful girl at the counter, and she saw my order on the computer and "fired it off," because Robert forgot to do something apparently, because he's incompetent. So I had to wait another 5-10 minutes.

Please fire Robert immediately. He is a cancer on the business and wasting the company's money. He doesn't work when he's supposed to. He's busy talking, and he doesn't attend to customer needs when he's supposed to. On my way out of the restaurant I tapped him on the shoulder and told him, "You suck at your job. Just an FYI."

I don't think I have to wait for 40 minutes to get tacos and watch other people who just came in and get their tacos in...

I came here to the debated suggestion of my office I’m visiting this week. As a south Texas Hispanic I will give the disclosure to my review that these aren’t even near what I would consider a taco in its true sense.

But the delicious food and margarita hit the spot after a day of involuntary fasting was fantastic. I walked a quarter of a mile from my hotel to visit this place and was not disappointed from the design of a quick eats location to the music playing overhead I thought it a positive experience and a place I’ll re-visit in the future.

From the Red Curry Queso as an appetizer and the refreshing large frozen margarita with tajin was a great way to immerse yourself into some varying flavors before jumping into the tacos. I chose the Spicy Chicken Tikka, Korean Fried Rice Pork, and Kobe Smash Burger and all three had great flavor and take on their ingredients. The only mistake I probably made was not getting their dessert but being in my home state for a visit I chose to walk a block away for some Blue Bell.

Definitely a must go to if you are in the area. Especially if you’re staying in one of the two dozen...

Man!!! I can’t win for constantly losing with this franchise of restaurants. Ordered fish and chips easy on the napa slaw and mexi cali shrimp easy on the napa slaw and NO avocado pico but sub for the roasted corn pico as I’m allergic yo avocado. Picked up my order and it’s avocado all over it. I drive back and inform and the guy with the dreads had them to remake it. Got it back and now no pico at all. I ask for a refund cause sheesh this is the second time this has happened at this location (even though the receipt/order was taken correctly both visits). I could give more stars but when i asked for the refund the manager (black guy with the beard) didn’t apologize for the inconvenience, didn’t ask me to follow him, didn’t even try to smooth or turn the situation around just walked off and went to the register. Asked my name and handed me a receipt that said $0 but didn’t show the original amnt or have the original receipt that they took to remake my order and ensure was correct (and wasn’t).
