REPRESENTATION SUCKS!

On Friday, my coworker told me about this place and showed me the different cookies. I stated, “oh this is like Crumble cookie”. She replied that it tastes better and it’s Black owned. After that, I was sold, because I definitely want to support a Black owned business to continue to grow and thrive.

My coworker, her mother and I rode to the store on our lunch break. I was excited to try a cookie called Honey Butter Biscuit. The young lady with a blank facial expression and dry personality let us know that every cookie we asked for was sold out. When asked about the Honey Butter Biscuit, she said it would be about two hours before some more were made. As we checked out, I saw some cookies sitting on the stand that looked like the Honey Butter Biscuits from the picture online. I asked the young lady checking us out, what those cookies were and she indeed stated those were the Honey Butter Biscuit cookies, but they were too hot and needed to cool before selling. I understood that and appreciated her explaining that, but surely it would not take two hours as the other girl made it seem like the cookies had not even been cooked yet. I am not sure if the plan was to take the leftover cookies to a kickback, but for goodness sake, they had some sort of attachment to not wanting to sell the cookies.

After leaving my coworkers mom stated that this is the second time she has received rude service and them being out of something. Let me be clear, the issue is not them being out of the cookie, because that is a good sign and is expected if quality products are being sold. The issue is the nasty service.

I know that first impressions are usually what set the tone, but because that was my first time at the establishment, I said let me try it again by myself. I went in on Saturday afternoon and there were some young ladies leaving out. Next in line was an older couple - Unfortunately the cookies they wanted were too hot to sell and were cooling off on the rack. The older lady working that day was kind enough to let them know if they wanted to wait 10 minutes, she could box the cookies up for them. I wish I was extended that same courtesy from the young ladies the day before. After the older couple paid for their cookies, I took a step forward to order, but there was a young lady with a pick up order, so rightfully so the older lady taking orders had her come over to be next and called her colleague to take her payment.

While I was waiting a family walked in BEHIND me. After the older lady passed off the pick up order to her colleague, she had the audacity to disregard me standing next in line and addressed the family BEHIND me, asking what can she get them. After they looked over at me, she then said or who’s next. DISGUSTING- I know I am dark skin and the family was of fairer skin tone, but she was not blind and surely she saw me standing there. I am grateful that I was raised to respect my elders; she may have not been met with the same grace had it been someone else. * I found her picture from another review and I am posting it for reference- THIS IS NOT MY PICTURE*

At this point, if this is a Black owned establishment, y’all gotta do better with who is representing. Piece of Advice - the cookie can be delicious, but if the service is Piss Poor it doesn’t matter… you’re selling an experience and Word of Mouth can run you to the ground. Don’t let people misrepresent your business that you built up in this manner. It is the young and the old; therefore, training at this location needs to be reinforced ASAP!

This past Saturday, I stopped by my all-time favorite cookie spot located just outside of Dallas in Addison, TX called Cookie Society. I've been going to this place for years now since the original location opened in Frisco. While there, I just so happened to run into the owner, Mrs. Marissa Allen, and I must say that her and her team are all so nice and sweet! We, of course, talked about which cookies are the best, and she and Ms. Bunny even gave me cookies from next month's flavors to sample!!!....I really appreciated this!....Every month, Cookie Society comes up with new cookie flavors and for this month I wanted to try the Strawberry Strudel and the PB and J cookie....Watch the video for my reaction of the Strawberry Strudel 😂😂😂😂 it's that good!!!

Cookie Society is certainly the best cookies I've ever had. I enjoy how creative they are with their flavors. I believe they can make any flavor and turn it into a cookie. My sister and I were thinking of  flavors we would love to see them make next. That’s if they haven't already:

We legit came up with a list 🤣....seriously though, Cookie Society can make any cookie, and it will taste amazing. I’m looking forward to what they will come out with next!!!

As soon as you walk in, you’re welcomed with joy. The Tiffany blue, modern, Texan inspired inside creates a great ambiance. But who cares about all that if the cookies are trash right?! So let’s see 👀

Caramel Apple Crisp MAGIC. This is a true filled cookie. (CRUMBL wishes they could figure this out 🤣) somehow the filling of this cookie doesn’t make the cookie soggy or even moist. Nice thin crisp layer on the outside and a healthy portion of filling on the inside. They deserve a standing ovation just for that 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 thennnnn ✨𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒻𝓁𝒶𝓋ℴ𝓇 ✨ 😍 essentially a handheld bowl of cinnamon apple oatmeal. Truly, what more do you want out of life??

S’mores IMMACULATE! The cookie is the graham cracker flavor, then the actual marshmallow, and actual chocolate. All ingredients are well balanced so you don’t taste more or less of anything - you get the perfect s’more bite EVERY 👏🏽 TIME 👏🏽‼️

Iced Oatmeal Ehh, left something to be desired to me. Wish it had more of the nostalgic flavor. Didn’t taste like it have enough of that oatmeal flavor to me. Have definitely put worse things in my mouth. Give it a try. Just don’t go into it hoping for that 💥BAM💥 nostalgic flavor.

Red Velvet Has a fudgey texture but tastes exactly like red velvet cake without being too sweet

Sea Salt Caramel Ehh. Alright. Don’t go just for this though. Subpar. If you need another thing to add to your 6 pack, throw it in. Wasn’t salty or caramel-y enough in my opinion.

Banana Pudding If you like the banana pudding that has artificial flavor, you’ll love this! I don’t know how they did it but the nilla wafers have a cake like texture. They aren’t crunchy or soggy!

1 thing I will say that I absolutely hate is that they stack the cookies in the box. Not a fan of the packaging style at all. What about in a longer car ride? Toppings might melt on the other cookies.
