Passed through the area from ATL to Tennessee and stopped for a quick to-go late lunch around 2:30pm this past Sunday. I don't eat at KFC often, and this was both my first time in about a year and at this location ever. The first thing that struck me was, "Wow, KFC has a buffet?" Yes, KFC has a buffet in the restaurant now. I'm used to boxes and buckets of chicken. The restaurant wasn't very busy on the inside, but the drive thru was busy. In any case, it seemed to take a while for the staff in the front of the store to put orders together, maybe they were new? There were only two up front....one was working hard to put orders together for inside customers and DT customers, the other staff member was working to clean and service the buffet, hand out new plates for buffet customers, AND take new orders. Meanwhile, in the back, I could see two employees with arms folded having a chat.....might want to look at that distribution of effort. I ordered the new KFC "Zinger" sandwich meal along with an additional Zinger sandwich, and I'm glad I did. That is one good chicken sandwich. All of the food I received was prepared well and tasted great. I like what KFC is doing to grow options, and I really enjoyed the food. Didn't enjoy the wait, took about 10 minutes to get the food after ordering....not horrible, but not great either. One last criticism, restaurant cleanliness. The front staff employee did a great job cleaning the buffet and nearby drink/ condiment stations but the entrance/ exit doors were filthy with greasy fingerprints. That's the first and last thing your customers see of your facility....make sure they're among the first thing cleaned. Also, the men's room was a bit shabby and...

Read moreHorrible! Took my family and placed an order for dine in- asked for plates and sauces. Our food was placed in a bag- I was told they were too busy to use trays. Got to my table- ordered a family meal and there were no plates. I went to get plates and was handed square brown cardboard "plates"- gravy and Mac n Cheese soaked through the cardboard. I ordered sauces for our chicken strips- no sauces. I went up to complain about the plates- I was told they were busy and if a customer wants plates they need to come up and ask for them (I ordered them with the food)- I asked why my food was in a bag- again told they were too busy for trays. I asked about my sauces- again they were too busy to remember them (even though they were on my receipt).
They claimed they were "busy"- yet there were only 9 people including us in the restaurant...and they had enough time to be loud, laughing, and horseplaying around.
I went out because I needed a relaxing break. It was anything but relaxing and cost me about $50.
