Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Dalton

Our server was really sweet and amazing. We were sat and seen very quickly. We just wanted to stop in for a nice quick lunch together. We ordered the bloomin onion 2 cokes and a boomarrita to start. Which were amazing. Then our meal comes out and the gentlmen serving the dishes confirmed who got the bloomin burger and who got the bloomin chicken and proceeded to serve them to the wrong person. Whatever I get it I work in a kitchen. We swapped our plates and before my fiance took a bite of his burger I noticed mold ontop of the burger bun but it looked like someone folded it over and tried serving it to us. Our server was sweet about the ordeal and was not her fault what so ever. But we sent the food back I lost my appetite completely the manager comes out and we tell him, he sees the bun but just kind of seems to brush it off since it’s bread it molds quick and asked if we would still want to eat my meal and remake his. I told him we’d just pay for the starter and salad but my appetite was gone. We still left her a good tip but just the lack of care of what is being sent out and kitchen quality especially because it was so noticeable. still ended up spending $36 before tip after meal was taken off. We agreed to pay that but still upsetting we go to eat and enjoy time and BOH was lacking in food quality. Will not return sadly .

Follow up it has been 2 weeks even after manager reached out to rectify our last lunch. Was asked for our address to receive a gift certificate to remedy our last lunch but Nothing has been sent out. I understand mail takes a few days but it shouldn’t take more than 3 days . Very upsetting to have been contacted and not followed through with what was said

Follow up 3 I was appreciative that the main manager Jason reached out to me after my follow up. You can tell he truly cared about our experience and wanting to fix it for us to come back in the future. He told me they would end up over night the gift card to us. Well he personally hand delivered an edible arrangement strawberry and a beautiful care package and a very generous amount. I was truly blown away with his above and beyond need to rectify the issue. It just slipped through the cracks I get it but just having that experience was truly making me actually want to return to that location and try it again. I truly appreciate Jason and his care for his role and the company motto. That’s a manager that cares and you can tell who truly cares. Thank you so much Jason and to our server you guys truly were the motto...

My husband, 5yr old and myself were traveling through town and decided to stop for a good hot meal and a room after being on the road since 9am! We love outbacks and go often back home so we stuck with a familiar restaurant and bonus it was right across the street from the hotel we just booked. We pulled in a little after 8 pm, hostess stated that it would be a short wait which was totally fine... Then we got seated in a booth close to the bathrooms...and honestly I cannot remember the servers name (tall thin young gentleman with dark brown hair) He passed our table several times before he greeted us! It would be one thing if he was busy but at his slow pace for everything you could tell he did not want to be there any longer, was done for the night and had NO desire to wait on us... Finally he greeted us and got our drink order and appetizer... A little later he came back & took our order. Husband ordered a 6oz filet med well, at first he ordered potato soup but then changed to just a bake potato butter only after I ordered...server even confirmed order. After salads my bowl of soup came out (this was my entree) and he brought a cup of potato soup out for my husband and walks off... My soup warm at best & my husband didn't want the soup. Comes back takes the soup after my husband had to get his attention. With the server stating "that's right, this was probably somebody else's that I grabbed.." So my soup came out before my 5yr olds food.. The other items came out about 10 mins after. Husband's 6 oz filet looked like a flattened sirloin that was well done and he had a loaded potato on his plate! (My husband does not like sour cream) I mean come on! Reason we didn't complain there...we had been on the road ALL day and the table that left his section as we were getting settled in had issues with management having to address it. We understand everyone has long days, bad days, and days that they would rather be anywhere else but at work! We have all been there but the chosen job choice should still be performed at best of ability. We do not expect you to make friends with us at the table even though we do enjoy talking to the locals but we do expect you to do your job properly and act like you care! Remember that you have no idea what the customer has been...

NO STARS FOR NO SERVICE!!! So again I like to give honest reviews and sadly their seems to be a boomerang effect here. Great service in February and then today July 13th...got seated promptly and then forgotten...two waitresses walked by our table without speaking. After approximately 15 minutes later, still no one had acknowledged our presence or even taken our drink order... NO SERVICE. As we left there was no one at the hostess podium and in all that time we only saw the 2 waitresses who were serving others. No drink glasses on the table should have been a clear indicator that no one had taken our order. Very disappointed.

FEBRUARY 2, 2022 Update from one star to four.. (Original content below new review)

2nd time since improvement...still 4 stars. Hats off to the chef of the day

Took my husband here for his birthday dinner last night. Was seated promptly and our waitress arrived in a timely manner. As we knew what we wanted she took our order and our salads arrived promptly with our entrées following perfectly timed. I had the Alice Springs Chicken, seasoned rice and a salad.. He had steak a baked potato and salad. His steak was well done instead of medium well but he proclaimed it edible as he was hungry and we were trying to get home before rain and dark. I would now take friends to this restaurant and recommend it to others.

Had to wait with tables open. Then 10 minutes without a server to even get us something to drink. Hosts were not friendly and apparently a bit self absorbed since their conversation with each other seemed more important...
