This place is amazing. Had to drop the car off for an oil change next door at lunch time and immediately followed my curiosity and my nose. I got the 2 bbq skewers and rice (I wish I got the pancit since it's the same price!) And ten pieces of lumpia and I. Loved. Every. Bite. This place draws you in with the perfect bbq smell for good reason. I got both chicken and pork skewers (one of each) and the chicken was perfectly smokey, almost dry (but still incredibly tasty) and the pork reminded me of Vietnamese pork chops (but smokier!). HUGE portions for the price! The service is standard for literally any Asian cuisine (direct, to the point, "Next! What do you want? Anything else?"type-dialogue, don't expect any courtesies, just solid, pragmatic, get-in-get-out-you-arent-here-to-chat service), polite enough to get by, and free water in the corner. They sell other dishes and, not being familiar with any of them, asked what some items were, and they honestly looked delicious. Alas, I will have to come back to try it all. The food is displayed out cafeteria style, but don't be fooled, they will grill the bbq the moment you choose it. This dive is a solid win and a new favorite. Whether or not you're in the neighborhood, give this place a try, it's worth the portion, taste...

The food is great and reasonably priced. But today, I went to get 2 orders and this lady wearing a blue apron and with blond-dyed hair seemed to take my first order. She looked me in the eye, she heard my order and she nodded and went to get some rice. Then, she started cooking BBQ and never returned to me to get my 2nd order. No explanation. There are a lot of people moving back there, so Ithought maybe someone else finished it and brought it to the cashier? Then the girl BEHIND me in line put in BOTH of her 2 orders with someone else and got to the cashier before me! Finally, I got the attention of another lady and she got my 2nd order. I FINALLY get to the cashier and tell her my 2 orders. The first order was never done! No handing it off to someone else to finish the order. So, I had to wait even longer for it to be completed. Then, I tried telling the cashier that the lady in the blue apron was taking my order but didn't finish it. I repeated this 4 times. The cashier kept saying random words in response as if she didn't understand what I'm saying. Wow, even if you're also Filipino they try to pull the "I don't understand English" card until it's time to pay. I think in the future, I will cook my own Filipino dishes. There are plenty of...

Food was okay. They say cash only but they charge tax which makes no sense because if that was the case, they should be okay accepting card(given that as a business owner, you’ll save money by just cash - this place earns more that they should be okay with accepting cards).

The customer service needs more work as they were not so attentive when we visited. I was gonna order bbq with menudo but they kept talking to each other before helping us, so we just ended up ordering their bbq.

Given we were the only customers waiting, they were chitchatting a lot that we waited longer than usual. I get that it can be slow when it’s demanding with many customers but as I said, we were the only ones waiting. They gave us attitude and we were actually approaching them nicely.

Parking is also challenging so park by other plazas nearby.

As much as I want to support Filipino businesses(being Filipino myself), there are far more better options in Daly City since it’s one of the most Filipino town in CA(Manila Bay in Serramonte, Karilagan in south sf, Tselogs, Cafe Colma, Isla, and there’s a plaza nearby FilAm cuisine where Jollibee/Red ribbon are located - there are so many filipino takeouts too!)

Not worth all the...

2025 update. Huge Fil-Am Cuisine fan here. BBQ skewers are $3.75. Chicken or pork. The ten piece shanghai lumpia is $4.10. There was a short 15 minute wait at 4:30pm on a Saturday. During peak hours, wait times can be around an hour. Early in the morning, they are busy with the party trays. My family and I love their skewers. They are so flavorful. Sometimes when I'm across the street at Jack in the Box, I can smell the BBQ and if the line is not long, I'll grab a few skewers. That was the case today. Original review: The secret to their BBQ skewers is the marinade. It has a mild sweet taste. The meat is tender, really juicy, a proper amount of smokiness and a bit of burnt ends. Every time I bite into it, my head goes "oh damn!" Although their cooked food a la carte selection is good, this is what I usually get: chicken skewer $3.15, fried egg $1, sausage $2, a small order of pancit $5 and 10 lumpia $3.25. Eating at Fil-Am always puts me in a good mood the rest of the day. I love the people that work here. Great job my peeps at Fil-Am. Daly City is a much better dining destination because of this restaurant.

When you think of barbecue, taste good but too much work. If you're driving and you pass by this restaurant it will stop you in your tracks. The smell of barbecue fills the air drawing people to their door. Great little spot for food but congested parking and line out the door. When the food is cooked right you can never complain especially since they're doing all the work. Just keep in mind if you're feeding young kids that food should be cooked thoroughly. (BURNT ON THE OUTSIDE DOES NOT MEAN IT'S COOKED INSIDE) SOME PEOPLE GET SICK FROM UNCOOKED FOOD ESPECIALLY PORK. My advice pop it in the oven for at least another 45 minutes at 400° before eating just to make sure it's cooked all the way through.
