I appreciate how this place was able to keep it’s vintage ambiance. It made me feel like I was stepping into the 70’s, in the best way possible! Upon arrival we were greeted by a waitress by the name of Tammy. Tammy had a mother like persona which made you feel as if you were stepping into someone’s home. We felt extremely comfortable! Tammy alone deserves a 10-10. What a rockstar! We tried the PBB Omelette, the Western Omelette and Eggs & Hash. All three entrees had home fries, coffee and we had three different types of toasts (wheat, English muffin and sourdough bread). The corned beef hash was a bit above average, but nothing super special. Well grilled with a crust on both sides with an even ratio of corned beef and potatoes. For corned beef hash fanatics such as myself, I rate this hash 6-10. The corned beef hash was made with requested sunny side up eggs which were cooked to perfection. The home fries were simple in the best way possible. 7-10 which brings the dish to an average of 7.5-10. The Western Omelette was one of the best omelettes we’ve ever had. Perfect amount of peppers and onions, great tasting cheese and great quality ham. The eggs themselves were moist. This omelette breakfast is an 8.5-10. The PBB Omelette (which consists of ham, bacon, sausage cheese, tomatoes, peppers and onions) was also an enjoyable experience. Crispy bacon, good quality ham and sausage, perfect amount of veggies, easily an 8.5-10. I also have to mention that the coffee has to be the best coffee we ever had from any diner, and it’s never ending! Waiter Tammy constantly attended us and made sure our cups were always full. The locals who were present at the time were extremely extremely friendly and so welcoming! We will absolutely be coming back. If you are a fan of diners (especially vintage style diners), amazing food and the best service you will ever receive then this is the perfect place for you!

Visited Portside Diner first with my family and loved it so much that I brought my husband the next day! The food is genuinely delicious — we tried the Spanish omelette, Boston cream French toast, hot chocolate, and coffee. Everything was spot on. The coffee, in particular, was so fresh and had the perfect flavor. There is plenty of parking. Outside and Inside seating area, with good enough booth and counter seating. The diner itself looks just like something out of a movie — classic, cozy, and full of charm. For someone visiting from Dubai, it felt like stepping into a scene from an American film. It was a beautiful.

If you're in search of a mouthwatering and satisfying turkey feast, your search ends at Portside Diner, conveniently situated at 2 River Street in Danvers. The dinner I had today was absolutely delicious, leaving me fully satiated, and the best part? It only cost me $16. With a rich history spanning over 75 years, the Portside Diner is a true treasure on the North Shore. Trust me when I say, this is a dining experience that should be on everyone's bucket list!

Me and a few of my friends stopped in today to order food. The first red flag was the waitress asked if we were paying cash or card, which I thought was odd but nevertheless, we ordered our food took some time for us to get our drinks. The waitress could’ve been a little bit more friendly we did overhear her talking to what I think was one of the regular customers, some of the things she had to say were not so nice about the establishment which I thought was very very odd. She seemed a little overwhelmed at that moment. They were a little busy with a few parties We are not sure if we will come back. The food was excellent service could’ve ...
