I love Morley's! I have been here 5-6 times over the last 6 months or so, and every experience has been a good one. The service is always top-notch.
I don't know any of the staff by name, but I have never been served without a good personal interaction, whether that be a joke or just some information about a beer they're serving. The bartenders are very attentive and quick to serve, and they know about what they're serving.
The atmosphere is great! The bar and dining area are open to the outside, so it can get a little toasty, but they have fans. Also, having the front and back of the building open allows for good airflow. It may get a little warm, but it's never stale or stuffy. Also, there is a LOT of outdoor seating. The "backyard" portion of Morley's Backyard is really nice. Also, the music has always been on point. The playlist rotates through several genres, so, as someone who doesn't like country, I can deal with the occasional country song.
The food is really good, too. I usually go there with my girlfriend to have a couple drinks and hang out, so I have only ordered food once or twice, but it was tasty, hot, and fresh. The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am lumping their beer selection into the food category. They have 8-9 beers on any of the nights we have been, and that's ok. That's definitely 4-stars level selection. I wouldn't mind if they added a few taps and had a few more options, though!
Overall, this is a great place to eat, drink, and spend time! I have never been disappointed at Morley's, and I foresee myself going many more times...
Read moreFood was good but very expensive for what it is. I think the price could be justifiable if the location and atmosphere were better. Currently it is quite literally a run down garage with a bar setup in it. Which may be some people's cup of tea, but it just doesn't work for me.
Maybe if the food and drinks were cheaper I'd be fine with it. It was very hot inside as there is no air conditioning.
Mixed drinks were small and didn't have much alcohol. They were mainly ice in a mason jar, but also very expensive for what they were. They also automatically add a 25% tip when you pay, so make sure you don't click accept without reading the screen.
There were some very unique items on the food menu that you can't get anywhere else in town though. So that's a plus. If they're good or not, I couldn't tell you because I didn't try them. I just had a burger and baked beans which was $16 by itself.
For entertainment they had a TV and a foozball table (I think I spelled that right). Not much more though.
Like I said though, this may be what some people look for in a bar, but it didn't particularly impress me.
The crowd did seem to be friendly and they looked as though they were enjoying themselves. Maybe if you're drunk and sociable, this place...
Read moreCannot say enough great things about the staff!! I lost a ring (I thought at Morleys) that was VERY sentimental to me while over the weekend. Once I realized I had lost the ring, the staff immediately dropped what they were doing to try to help me find it. Mind you it was dark and they were out with flashlights in the yard looking. They even offered for me to come back in the daylight while they were closed to help me find it. After leaving my number in case it turned up, I received a text this week from one of the staff asking me if I had found the ring and wanted to check in with me. Thank God I found the ring later that night, but the way the staff treated me and genuinely wanted to help shows there are still good people in the world! Morleys will DEFINITELY have my business going forward.
P.S the drinks...
