Jake's Place — Restaurant in Darien

The food here is pretty good but after today I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars for the fact that the online menu says one price and when we go into the actual establishment, we're told another price. I believe the guy who came out to speak to us on the pricing was the owner and you know what he had to say, Sorry this is our prices. He was than referring to the menu inside. Which is absolutely fine but how about updating your site to match the new up to date prices you have on the menu inside your establishment. He then ask my daughter, would you like to help me update my menu online because I have so and so issues where he can't do it himself. No, how about you take the time out to hire whoever your hired to help you make that site fix it for you, so we won't have this problem in the future. How about next time provide excellent customer service by letting your customer know he or she is correct and you're sorry for the misunderstanding and inform them it'll be fixed. I also believe we should've gotten it for the price we seen online. This is my second time at this establishment and both time I googled the place by name and placed my order based off what I seen online. I've always passed by this place and finally decided to google the name and look at the menu. So my point is, this is what new customers first see if they're looking you up...

Ok, the BE&C sandwich was so good that we decided to go back. We had the 2 egg, home fries & bacon special. It cimea with coffee and a small oj. Bacon was amazingly crunchy and was a very generous amount. Spoke with Jake and he brought out chef Humberto to hear the compliment I gave him. Chef Humberto is a really nice guy and after a short conversation he asked my if I tried the corn beef hash? We ordered a side order of the BEST corn beef hash I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and have more of their delicious menu. Waitresses were also extremely nice and friendly.

I ordered an egg omelette with veggies that comes with home fries and toast. The fries had bacon inside of them. Nowhere on the menu it states that there is bacon cooked with homefries. As a vegetarian, a restaurant that puts bacon inside their fries nonchalantly shows total lack of care for their customer. But the worst part of this situation is when i returned to get my order corrected, I was met with 0 apology, horrible attitude from the woman at the register and rolled eyes. Just awful. Will never return to this place with bad energy and lack of care. You can tell the workers...
