I would consider myself a very loyal customer of Jet's Pizza. My husband and I just moved here from KY in May this year. We lived in Lexington, KY and Jet's was our favorite place to eat in the entire city. When we moved to the Chicago area we were thrilled to try all the deep dish pizzas, but found that Jet's was still our favorite. Being in Chicagoland, I feel like that is a pretty heavy compliment.
We order jet's regularly,and have never had any complaints about the quality of food we received. Heck, even the salads are fresh and tasty. However, we did notice a decline in customer service when we moved and the website directed us to order from the Darien, IL location. Most issues were so minor we never brought it up (like small missing items - such as extra jalapeno cheese sauce we ordered and paid for). However, recently we placed an order and I received a call from the manager saying that we were too far away to be delivered to. He mentioned that it was a mistake that we had been delivered to in the past, and that we were too far away. I explained that the website directed us to that location, we did not try to handpick which of the several locations near us delivered to us. He said the driver we had before was there and that we were father down the road we live on than he realized, and that they only deliver between 5-6 miles from their location. I told them to cancel my order.
I was angry at first, but decided to calm myself before I decided whether or not to take action. Well, it's been nearly a week now and I am still very upset by it. As I said before, I feel I am a very loyal customer and I recommend Jets to all of my friends. I felt as though I was not being appreciated. Also, we really are not that far from this store, and in fact, we are 8 minutes or 4.5 miles away. If you take out the toll roads, we are only 5.1 miles away, within the 5-6 mile range he explained over the phone. In fact, locations farther away have delivered to us with no complaints, such as the store in Naperville.
Perhaps the driver did not want to come to our location during rush hour, but we have never been rude to the drivers. In fact I feel we tip very well - my husband having been a delivery driver before, we are sympathetic to drivers and tend to over-tip, even. I really am just put-out by this entire situation, and even after a week, still become upset at the recollection of that conversation. Jet's will always be my favorite pizza, and I will continue to order, but in the future I will most likely avoid this location at all costs.
UPDATE: Store owner called and was extremely friendly and helpful. Fixed the issue, which may or may not have been maps related, but I'm more inclined to think it was the driver. Anyway, I'm very happy with the way he handled the situation. Hopefully, no further...
Read moreI'm sad to leave a mediocre review, because Jet's pizza is one of my absolute favorites, and I have been going here for years. However, the service at this location has really gone downhill. I had to repeat my (very standard) order three times to two different people when I first called, and at one point during the call the person simply put down the phone and walked away without a word to me. Once I got to the location, I called to ask for curbside pickup, an option which was advertised on a large sign in the front window. I was told, "we can't do that" with no further explanation. I was also told that the pizza would be another ten minutes, even though I arrived 5 minutes after the time I was initially told it would be ready. Since I was waiting in the parking lot, I asked if they could let me know when it was ready. I didn't want to wait inside, because I have family members at high risk for COVID. Again, the clerk told me no without any explanation. I called again in ten minutes, and a third clerk answered. I had to ask three times if the pizza was ready before he actually checked. He just kept telling me to wait in the lobby. It was a frustrating experience to say the least. The pizza itself was delicious (although I would have preferred a little more sauce), but I don't know that I'll be coming back with how difficult the staff made the entire experience and how rudely...
Read more4/10/2020 - Placed an order via text. Called to make sure my order is correct. The guy on the phone, Not the manager tells me that I can only have 1 sauce on my pizza. I've been ordering the SAME pizza for MONTHS frim this place. The online ordering gives you the option to choose sauce on a half pizza basis and this guy tells me different. Welp! So much for customer satisfaction. I cancelled the order and am letting the family know we have to find elsewhere to spend our money. Guess it was good while it lasted and all over something so simple as pizza sauce. Hmmm...Giordanos, Beggars, Lou Malnati...who wants this cash?!!! Not Jet's! 4/16/2020 - I still haven't received my money back from cancelling this order. Also no contact from anyone concerning this matter, so apparently their behaviors...
