I love the food here. The chopped salad is great, I never feel bad after eating here. I generally love these places. It's a Shame I'm not giving 5 stars...
PPE and other pandemic responses however, not really observing proper precautions..
So we walked in the door for dinner, and brother if it's had masks. Several employees yelled at is that we had to leave. 100% fair! Don't go anywhere if you don't want to wear a mask people! We go "out" so infrequently that we both forgot them, and we had been working from home all day.
We went home, got our masks, came back about 20 minutes later. When we got back in line, we were summoned up to the front, directly next to another group of people, elbow distance away (not 6 feet), and they were older or were loud. The young cashier's couldn't hear us, and we couldn't hear them. eventually each of the cashiers too their masks off so we could hear them over the loud sounds in the restaurant. The other group did too. I do not like this.
Then when you go to wait for the food, about 20 feet away is the dining area. As soon as anyone when l went by the drink area, everyone seems to take their masks off and leave them off until they leave, while dining inside.
So my problem is that they aren't enforcing make at all. It honestly seemed like they were trying to bait someone like my dad into being in one of those videos where they start telling about wearing masks, blah blah.. because they only cared about that the moment we got in there, not a moment afterwards. Call me paranoid, but one of the food runners looked like he was about to get his phone out when my dad had a hard time hearing them.
I will edit and delete this whole part once I see some changes. I'm obviously going back, with a mask on the entire time. I just want to see that these...
Read moreI am beyond frustrated with the Darien location. A few weeks ago I placed a phone in, I was there at the pcik up time and still waited 15 minutes for my food (chicken tenders and soup). Today I was appalled!!! I placed a phone in order at 6:45, I ordered chicken renders, a hot dog, soup and mashed potatoes. First off the gentleman who took my order spoke very broken english and I had to repeat myself 3 times. He told me a pick up time of 15 mins. So I am there at 7:05 in the drive thru. Order was placed, people are leaving the DT with their food they ordered at the speaker and I am waiting for food I called ahead for. After waiting in the DT for 20 minutes (time is 7:25) I go inside and ask to speak to a manager. A ported came up and asked if I was being helped and one of the girls handing out the food brought a manager to me. I told him my order, how upset I was, he told me it would still be another 5 minutes for my food. Are you kidding me!! I ordered ahead of time and I am being made to wait!? Its chicken tenders!! They take 4 minutes to cook. Nothing in my order takes long to prepare. NOTHING! I told the manager I wanted my money back, I dont have time to wait around for this. He didnt even apologize. I will never come back to this location again. Both gentleman managers are arrogant and unhelpful. The woman manager seemed more concerned than these two gentleman. Never again. I am posting a review on facebook and yelp and whatever other social media outlets to voice this concern. The manager didnt offer an apology or any compensation. If I had been waiting a few minutes I wouldnt want anything, but waiting a half an hour for chicken tenders is ridiculous! ...
Read moreThe Patio missed including 2 french fries into the order on the night of 10/26/2020 which I placed online for the family spending almost $70. While that's bad, what's worse is how they handled it. The guy who answered said that he will remove the fries from the bill and was quick to hang up. Never apologized.
I asked if there was anything they can do to make it up to the 2 kids who were going to watch the Bears game without fries and he got me the lady manager. She said they have someone new in training and that she would give me 10% off but NEVER APOLOGIZED.
My expectations were to hear an apology and perhaps give the kids a coupon for a free ice cream on their next visit. Instead the Manager was cold and uncaring. Literally.
That was a very bad experience. I informed her that if that's how they treat their customers now that she could inform her leadership that they lost a customer who's been going there for over 8 years. She said ok.
As for the food, it was good, as expected and as it usually is / was. We ordered a full slab of ribs, 2 pulled pork sandwiches, a Cheeseburger and a 32oz cup of Chicken and Rice soup. As can be seen in the picture the 2 sandwiches are missing fries. Order #904670905
