I had tried getting a hold of my PCP at Amita to get a refill on antibiotics for a UTI (which I get at least 3-4 a year) I called them 4 times at work on Thurs and every person said a nurse had til 7:30pm to call me back to refill my previous script. I never got a call back so I called Friday morning only to have someone else tell me that they actually couldn’t prescribe it over the phone and I would have to come in person but they had no appointments or walk-ins available (even though I tried scheduling an appointment the day before) this was now day 3 of the infection. My friend and mom told me to go to this minute clinic, they both had amazing experiences here. With my infection getting worse I went to the clinic right after they opened. Not only did they see me right away, when I saw the very kind doctor and asked “is this normal to get so many?” she was the very first doctor to ever tell me it isn’t normal getting so many throughout my whole life. She made me feel like I was actually listened to, very cared for, and that she wanted to actually find out why I get so many. She then asked if I was comfortable getting an ultrasound to rule out any possibilities which I didn’t even know they offered that service there. I met with the ultrasound tech, who was just as kind as the doctor, and she made the whole experience so relaxing and reassuring. I have never felt more reassured, empathized, or treated so well as a patient before, and the doctor and ultrasound tech both helped me feel like I was actually being cared for and listened to as a patient for the first time when it came to these infections. I would recommend all my family, friends, anyone to go to this clinic because of how they treat their patients and truly show how much they listen and help in every way they can. I wish I could make them my primary doctors because I’ve never had such a wonderful experience with a doctor for my infections before. You are all true heroes! I cannot thank you enough for all of your help and care! If I could give 10 stars I would but the max is 5, this clinic should be recognized for all that they do for their patients, thank you again for helping and actually...
Read moreWe didn't hear about my son's broken arm until 4 days after he was x-rayed here. Every step of the way, this place displayed egregious incompetence and negligence. We were seen on a Thursday evening and had an x-ray done. We were told "no news was good news" meaning that if we didn't get a call, his arm was not broken. We never received a call, but since my son had previously broken this same arm, and was complaining of pain, we still wanted confirmation. I called Friday and, after being on hold for over 30 minutes, was told that because the doctor that saw him was not in, they could not tell us the x-ray results. I asked if there was anything else we could do and they said no. I was then the one coming up with ideas and suggested that we send the results to our pediatrician. They said I would have to come in to get a CD of his x-ray results and then take them to our pediatrician, but that wouldn't help us because our pediatrician is closed on the weekend. They said the doctor that saw him would be back on Monday and would call me first thing that Monday morning. I did not receive a call Monday morning so I followed up that afternoon. After being on hold for another 30+ minutes, the doctor that saw my son told me that they tried to call me yesterday, but I had no record of any incoming call or a voicemail. They then said that my son had a broken arm, which was again, FOUR DAYS after he was x-rayed. I asked if we could get a copy of the x-ray to share with a specialist. They said they would send this to my email. The attachment they sent was password protected and I was provided no password. I called to get the password, but no one knew what the password was. They said they would send me a copy of the results that were not password protected, but I never...
Read moreI brought my son in, because it was suspected that he had pink eye. I filled out the forms online, prior to visiting because I knew it would reduce our wait time. As any parent knows, children hate long waits. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed my son, and sent over the necessary prescription immediately. Later when I called back because my son was struggling with the eye drops, the staff was again very helpful. The practitioner who saw my son earlier that afternoon, immediately called in an alternative prescription for my son. Thank you to all! Great work! Update! I went to the Midwest Express Clinic again. This time for myself. Again the entire staff did a great job even though they were extremely busy! I felt like they really listened to me, and started me on the necessary treatment. I needed to call the doctor back after my visit, because I had a question about my medication. The doctor called me back, she called my pharmacy all in a matter of about 15 minutes. She let me know what days she would be in the office next, if I needed to come back. I went in for my follow up today, and again the staff did a great job! They were knowledgeable and efficient. They had more information, as they had gotten my labs back, and quickly started me on a new treatment plan. I recommend this place to everybody. Just remember two things check in online before you go, and make sure your insurance plan is accepted. Doing that will lead to the best...
