Foxy's Waffle Bar and Sugar Den — Restaurant in Dauphin Island

Delicious! My husband had the peanut butter delight smoothie bowl with berries on top, and the berries were perfect! I had a half waffle with a couple of basic toppings, but it was great! Their iced coffee was also SO good! Staff was nice and the prices are fair. Next time we’re on Dauphin Island, we’ll definitely be back.

Updated in 2023 to add that we did come back. 2 years later, the quality and prices haven’t changed. We got another smoothie and waffle bowl. Honestly, the people complaining about service/prices/hours have unreasonable expectations. Both times we have visited, the food is great, the employees are so sweet, and the prices are fair for how secluded the island is. She made sure our smoothie and coffee were to our liking, gave me a heaping serving of waffles, and encouraged us to tell her if we didn’t like something. We ventured far out to Foxy’s Waffle Bar today, drawn by the tantalizing photos of waffle boats teaming with delicious looking toppings. We were greeted at the window by a friendly woman who suggested we get the full sized waffle boat with strawberry & pecan toppings. The order came out quickly and did not disappoint! The waffle was fresh & piping hot, and generous amounts of diced strawberries and pecans poured all over, topped off by sugary condensed milk and caramel. Absolutely delicious! We also received 2 PB Delight shakes that were absolutely delicious - incredibly creamy and smooth, and just the perfect amount of sweetness. Perfect for this hot & humid day. I ordered a full-size waffle with bananas and Nutella. It was so delicious! Definitely could have got away with only a half waffle, but c'mon, when on vacation, go full waffle 😄

The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and made sure our order was exactly as we wanted! When we pulled up, there were a lot of people out front. We were worried about a long wait, but the staff got the orders out very quickly!! ✨️

If I HAD to note something, it would be nice to have another bench out front for more seating (there is one bench out front with seating for around 8 people), but other than that, NO NOTES! 😊
