Went there tonight on a rare date night with the wife. We were both looking forward to trying a place we have never been and she was really excited about Manicotti on the menu. We ordered our food at 6:30, received a salad about 10 minutes later and then watched every table around us receive their main courses after they all ordered after us. Finally at 7:02, my wife goes up to ask what’s going on with our dinner and they have to check to see if it’s even going. She asks to make it a to go order since we had an event to go to, I intervene and mention that it’s been 30 minutes already, let’s just cancel it and move on. I quickly get attitude from a girl in the kitchen and am told it’s going to be another 7 minutes and she won’t cancel it. We ended up getting our food in a box and barely making our event on time but I’m now here writing this review 3 hours later eating what tastes like a microwaveable tv dinner while my wife is in a bad mood from not eating tonight. I feel bad for the young gentleman working the counter, running orders and cleaning the tables while the 5 people in the kitchen were just standing around not doing anything to help him or get food out in a...

While I was there I discovered that they now have home made gellato, and it was wonderful too!
Very much worth a trip. I need to stop by more often!
Fun spot, great food, and a magnificent view!
Antonella's II is a great spot downtown, in the historic Freight house near the levee. The decor is charming, with an old world style wrapped around a nice modern urban venue.
The dining area can comfortably seat about thirty customers. Order and pre-pay at the register, then the food is served at your table.
The food is American, with a distinctly Sicilian flare. Pizza, pasta, calzones, salads, etc. make up the bulk of the menu.
Our group of about a dozen professionals were very comfortable. There were a few couples and singles there too and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience and especially the food.
Before I left I ordered cheesy garlic bread to go, which...
Read moreLast night, I went on a date here and we really wanted to like it because of the reviews. Once we arrived, we were greeted by a young lady who gave us menus which was nice, but it was kind of awkward because she didn’t really tell us where to sit so we just kind of picked somewhere, no big deal. 15 minutes pass and no one come out to take our order so I guess it’s the type of place you go up and order and pay for the food first and I see why the do it like this. We got an appetizer (fried ravioli), carbonara and lasagna. The food just really wasn’t good, especially for the price. I hate to say it but I was really shocked by the quality of the food too. It was very poor and cheap looking also very bland. After eating, both of our stomachs hurt and the next day I woke up feeling like I needed to vomit. I’m giving them 2 stars because the staff was nice, the river view and maybe I just picked the wrong thing to order, but I won’t...
