Cafe San Lorenzo is a walk-in only (no reservations), seasonal, weather permitting 'pop-up' Cafe serving top-notch Italian cuisine. The atmosphere, ambiance and patina of this diamond of a local area restaurant is without competition in our local region. Cafe San Lorenzo is a culinary project of 'al fresco', cafe style dining, offered by the ownership and staff of another local restaurant, The Half Nelson. The execution of their concept of an earthy Italian street cafe could not have coalesced in a finer fashion. Only walk-ins are put on the wait list and of course, dining is weather permitting only. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays 4 PM until 9 PM and Friday and Saturdays 4 PM till 10 PM, you obviously need to arrive ahead and put your party on the wait list to get a coveted table assignment. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Be prepared to encounter an Italian language menu, but the staff will smooth your feather and help you out with ordering. The meal that we enjoyed here was one of the best dining experiences we have had in the greater Quad-Cities area. The food was served hot and prepared exceptionally well. The menu changes frequently, as they specialize, in my opinion, of executing a carefully selected rotation of superb menu options to perfection. You need to dine here while the seasons permit. You can thank me later. This will be a frequent haunt for us this Summer and Autumn, as long as Cafe San Lorenzo makes their 2025 culinary splash here in the Quad-Cities. Great job to the ownership, management and staff at Cafe San Lorenzo,...

As a Davenport native and a foodie, I’m very proud of this place. Besides the fact that if it rains or, it’s freezing out which hasn’t happened yet since they opened this place is definitely a date night spot. Using Half Nelson’s kitchen, I sure there are so many amazing thing that are going to come out of this place. Food was amazing, gelato was stupidly fire! You got a girl, stop sleeping on her and take her here and show here a little class! Love the food service was new but still good. Appreciate the fact that theses places are popping up in the D we need more great quality establishments. Enjoyed it so much and...
