I am so happy we discovered this Bakery!!! I had to try something else after having 2 cakes not be what I wanted for 2 previous other events. I was BLOWN AWAY when I first saw this cake that was literally CREATED for a Miami Vice themed 60th Birthday. The creativity, attention to design, detail and love that went into this cake is fully felt! Not to mention the layers and layers of flavor. This cakes was so moist, perfectly baked with the most delicious filling of fudge on the chocolate layers and vanilla bean cream. I can not tell you how many complements we received on this cake. People were freaking out!!! I was SO HAPPY. This was a surprise for the Guest of honor and he was in shock! Ruth truly loves what she does; you can literally feel + taste it too. She actually CARES when you explain what you want or your vision and truly has a consultation with you to know exactly what you want. That was my first clue that this isn’t some dime a dozen, run of the mill place. We truly got more than I could have ever imagined. We will be using them for all of our events going forward. I will never have to worry again about a cake not being what we wanted. This was a show stopper. I gave complete creative freedom and just wanted a cake with a Miami Vice vibe. I can’t explain in words what we got, you have to look at the photos for yourself to see this. Miami Vice came to life last night. This MADE our night so special and memorable. Completely more than a cake, this created memories and pure joy. Truly one of a kind. She even built layers for the building, the whole Miami strip, my mind was blown!!!! Thank you so much. All the details matter so much and I felt this...
Read moreSituated in the heart of Davie I found this wonderful Latin bakery the other day . I ordered and got a fantastic cafe and a sweet strawberry and cheese pastelito. There were so many delicious pastries to choose from Ruthy the owner took the time to describe everyone. I was also greeted and served by her two lovely daughters Ashley and Arlette. Together they are making Ruth's bakery the go to Latin bakery in Davie! I am sharing their family history for all to read. Here’s our story: RUTHYS Bakery is a family owned Latin bakery in Davie. Fresh food for all!8/12/20 I love Ruthy's bakery. Every time I come my palate is satisfied. Today I had Ruthy's delicious Colombian cheese empanada. Ruthy serves her empanadas daily with her own freshly made empanada sauce which will have your mouth water! Coupled with the best made cafe con leche( Ruthy's daughter Arlette has mastered the art of this Latin drink favorite ) makes Ruthy's bakery my favorite Latin bakery of Davie.6/05/21 thank you Ruthy for making my wife's beautiful dulce the leche birthday cake and for making breakfast for her and her cousins! Read moreI try to patronize small local businesses whenever I can so when I see a new one I usually make it a point to become a regular. In the case of this establishment however, I won't be coming back. When I walked in there was no "welcome to Ruthy's bakery" no "good morning, how may we help you" with a smile that one usually gets from a small business owner, Especially one who's just a few feet away from a Dunkin Donuts. And you'd be able to see that smile because they don't wear masks. It's understood that masks aren't mandated but this is the first restaurant I've seen where the staff don't wear masks during this pandemic. Throughout my visit didn't see a smile from whom I assume is the owner nor the person putting my food in the carry out bags. Going to a restaurant is an experience. You want to be at least acknowledged as you're being served. At this place I didn't get the feeling of being welcomed. Maybe they were having a bad day? Everyone is entitled to one of those. For the sake of the survival of their restaurant I hope that's the case. The food was fine. Tasty croquetas and pastry. And it's good that they don't automatically make your Cafe con leche with a ton of sugar, opting instead to let you add whatever sweetener you prefer. Location is a bit hidden. Make sure to drive straight through the 4 way stop at the entrance of the parking lot and go all the way back towards the back and past the DD that's to your right. They're next to an...
