Stopped here after walking out of another empty lecture at UC Davis and was reminded what functioning systems look like. The burger was hot, the staff moved fast, and I didn’t have to explain myself ten times just to be understood. UC Davis? Can’t relate.
Let’s be clear: this school is not on the same level as UCLA, UCSD, or even UCSB. The students here are shockingly unmotivated, the academic culture is watered down, and if you’re ambitious, you’ll be isolated or resented. Critical thinking dies fast here — replaced with groupthink, fake activism, and professors more focused on internal politics than your future.
Mental health is in crisis, and no one talks about it. There have been multiple suicides, a fatal stabbing, and even faculty misconduct covered up — all swept under the rug. If you’re a different thinker, a builder, or someone trying to do something real: Davis will drain you.
This burger gave me more clarity than any advisor I had on campus. If you’re considering UC Davis just because it’s a UC — don’t. There are other UCs that will actually challenge you, support you, and surround you with people who give a damn. If you are logical, please pretend not to be because you will be reported very soon for so called harassment or safety concerns of those people. Here, being stupid ( at least within the range of their comprehension) is more important than being logical. Being with too much of clarity is a misconduct at UC Davis and may the God forgive the sin of UC Davis. Put it off the cross because no a reasonable person can...
Read moreI’m a fan of in n out but lately I have noticed a change in this particular in m out’s cooking and not for the better. This time I was completely disappointed and sad at what I received. Their needs to be a better system to their grilled cheeses and their overall cooking because, as of lately, the quality of the food that I have been receiving is subpar and does not meet the level of in n out standards. This is the 2nd time this month that I come to in n out and the same thing has happened to me. The first time, I thought they were having a bad night but tonight I confirmed that there is something really wrong with the person cooking. My cheese was not even melted, which is baffling because it’s called a “grilled cheese” not a “cold cheese sandwich” and I hardly had any grilled onions. The lettuce was soggy and warm which I’m confused about because the cheese wasn’t even melted. The fries were also so undercooked they were still white. The only good thing was the shake but I definitely don’t think that I nor any of my vegetarian friends will be returning to this in n out. Very sad to throw hard earned money away and food away. Shame on...
Read moreI am a California born native, and as such there a few establishments i consider a part of the Cali-Culture, In-N-Out burger is one of them. Simple, fresh, clean, friendly, and delicious... today they out did themselves, i was in the drive through and after ordering i found that i had forgotten my wallet... the manager comp'd my burger and simple said, pay us on your way back, well i was very surprised and i felt cared for, so i drove home, got my wallet and drove back to pay for my delicious burger. Thank you In-N-Out for helping keep my faith in friendly, kind, and even caring institutions. I sometimes feel cynical about corporate america, fast food chains seem to bring out the worst in some folks. Corporate rules and fixed rigid systems leave me unhappy when every i leave McDonald's or other big names in the guick food business, but In-N-Out still reminds me that if a company wanted to, it could choose to be better. Because if they can do it, shouldn't they all be able to be better... love my...
