This is what Subway hopes to be! I ordered their Hang Loose (pastrami, bacon, cream cheese, avocado with everything) as one of the friendly staff told me it's the second-most popular sandwich. The sourdough bread was a good complement for the rich flavors from a generous amount of pastrami and cream cheese slathered on. My only complaint is that I wish the sandwich was warmer. I had a moment of giddy excitement when I went home with my take-out order and realized a cookie was included! My order was completed quickly and the staff was very helpful, even bringing my order out to me because the plexiglass barriers prevented them from leaving it on the counter. There are signs but nobody seems to be heeding any of them. Read moreMuch farther than Zias and a bit more expensive. Also a distinctly more "chain" flavor, but much less than Ikes. The bread complements the sandwiches well in texture and flavor. They are neutral without being tasteless and soak up flavor well without sogging up.
