Went with a bunch of friends and it was hit and miss. The tom yum soup base was good; the chicken soup was pretty bland; the scezhuan spicy soup was too salty and has some wierd metallic sour taste that kind of ruined my taste buds for anything else. The pork knuckle itself tasted good but it was more bone than meat, which was disappointing. And it really isn't like the hot pot experience that I would expect where you dip in the food and wait for it to cook.Instead, everything but the noodles, is already cooked and in the pot and served in a bowl where they light a gel candle underneath. First time here. We chose this place because of reading great reviews about the pork feet dish and was excited to try. When we got there we were told that they were out of the pork feet, and were closing early that night -only thing available to order on the menu was the hot pot. So we ended up ordering the pepper numb lamb shoulder and beef with tomato base. The pepper numb soup base was really tasty, probably would be even better with the pork feet! The mini hot pot was just enough for one person and came with a bowl of rice or noodles. A little disappointed though without trying the pork feet which was the reason to pick the place. I seldom write review. But this business owner is just a scammer. We notice there is a 15% service charge (tip still count separately) to pay with mobile. Okay, then we pay over the counter. Guess what, the business owner still gives us a bill with 15% service charge. Her explanation is that "since many students paid with mobile, we charge everyone 15% service fee no matter where they pay". Does it sound reasonable? Again, service charge is not tip!
