MJ's on Jefferson — Restaurant in Dayton

Went to MJS last night and I've been a few times on low volume nights. I hear different things a few times with the tab being open, sometimes they hold $50, $5, or $10. It's real odd and I never seen a place with different amounts of the tab being held. The owner/manager comes up to me, says its $5. So I questioned it and said ok then why is there 2 charges of $10 and I showed him my bank that shows him that I had $10 just sitting there. He goes "I don't know my systems must have changed" so I responded "So you don't know the hold fee to your bar" and he said "Well you don't need to be rude about it and you don't have to come back again" and after that I just shut up and left because he's not worth my time. Like dang, sorry you look dumb because you don't know...

I went here one night and left my tab open. Forgot my card. But had to work double shifts the next two days so didn't cancel it thinking it was safe since it was left with the bartender. I got a notification 2 days later from my bank asking me if I was trying to make an online purchase for make up ..... I said absolutely not. Do NOT trust this place with your money. Super shady !!!

Update to response to owner. Not true. I have a transaction on my bank account for the drink I did buy from you ! I went there for a drag show. Was def your bar. One of your workers tried to steal my money. Own up to it and take...

Great friendly staff. Music is normally between 85-100 DB which is refreshing as it is not too loud compared to many bars who play their music at dangerous levels. Entertainers are always good and many different faces which is awesome. As a professional lighting engineer, the actual light work that is presented during shows is lacking and very distracting. Basic understanding of lighting theory and operation is missing. But the average person wouldn’t be bothered by that. Love the selection of whiskey! Keep up...
