Prime BBQ Smokehouse — Restaurant in Dayton

I'm giving a 5 star for everything, not because it's the absolute best. But because they are doing something right with this place. The Brisket was perfect. The pulled pork was excellent. The jerk chicken was alright, was a bit sweet and not spicy enough to be called jerk. The collar greens were average and the Mac and cheese was ok. The wedges were cooked well but the seasoning wasn't spread consistently, but it was good. However, the Hot BBQ was actually very good. It was hot but not set your ass on fire hot. The others were fine. Could use a few more selections in the future. Also, the portions were good for the price. We did dinner and will be back for lunch. Keep up...

I'm surprised at the bad reviews. We tried this place for lunch today and out of all the BBQ places in town, I thought this was the best. I got the pulled chicken sandwich and the meat was super tender and the bun was steamed, fluffy and very fresh. Loved the Carolina sauce too. Also got the side salad and was just expecting a lettuce mix like most other places, but this one had diced tomatoes, banana peppers, onions, cheese and croutons. I called in a pickup order and service and restaurant were ok but food is terrible. I ordered half slab of the St Louis ribs which were so tough couldn't even bite or pull meat off the bones also ordered collard greens which were way too spicy and didn't even taste like greens and the mac n cheese, i don't even think it should be called mac n cheese simply awful and same with corn bread muffin store bought taste way better, pulled chicken sandwich, the chicken is not seasoned so my son had to drown it in bbq sauce in order to eat. This was a complete waste of my hard earned money and I will not ever buy food...
