YAYA's Beachside Bar — Restaurant in Daytona Beach Shores

Dark curly haired waitress took my husband's bottled water and said we couldn't have it because they "sell water there". That's fine if that's your policy, but you should never ever touch your patron's property without permission. She could have simply told us first and then asked us to dispose of it or then taken it. We had taken an Uber there so we couldn't just put it in our car, and we didn't think of not being allowed to have it with us. She said she had to keep it behind the bar until we left. That is such an unsafe practice for multiple reasons. I will not go back to this place. The karaoke sucked, the dj didn't know how to set the mics up, sound was not clear. Not quite sure how this place is known for their karaoke. It was a sealed water bottle. I don't need to smuggle vodka into a dive bar. That's why I didn't even think about it walking in. Obviously if it were vodka, I wouldnt have let the waitress take it. Your response as a business owner shows your true colors. Glad you put it out there for everyone...

This Bar Was Just Ok. But To Be Honest It Was Nothing Special. The staff was very nice and professional but the bar was very small and so was the parking lot. The parking lot was so small and it will be a problem if you arrive late because you won’t be able to find a sport to put your car. Get there early and you get a spot. The bathrooms 🚽 were a mess and they could of been better. There was live entertainment which was nice 👍 and my favorite thing about the bar was that they had some 🎱 Pool Tables And it was only a dollar 💵 to play pool 🎱. This bar is close to the beach 🏖 which is also nice . They did have good drinks 🍹 but to be honest I just really wasn’t all that impressed with it even though I had a great time.

Because I am on the fence with the bar I am not going to recommend it, so you can be on your own and take your chances...

This place is a lot of fun! Just a block or two from the ocean, the 'local bar' atmosphere is a welcome change from every trendy place packed into every other square inch of Daytona. Karaoke FIVE nights a week, and live music also. Drinks and bar fare food are very reasonably priced. I think I just found a new hangout.

EDIT - just downgraded this from a 5 to a 4, I have zero interest in sitting for fifteen minutes watching drunks dance badly to ten+ year old 'dance hits' when I'm here for karaoke. I won't be...
