AB Amazing Ribs has some fantastic BBQ and I love that it’s 100% Halal

Atmosphere

When we came they were bringing in a truckload of wood that dries out along the wall of the dining area which brought with it a very smoky aroma and looked very cool which made the place feel like a real BBQ establishment. The seating was takeout style seating and seemed to fit the type of establishment that it was. There were flat screen TVs showing the menu which looked very clean and modern, and also a butchers counter that showed various slabs of fresh meat, ensuring the freshness of the meal. I loved the atmosphere and felt very comfortable here!

Service The service was absolutely phenomenal! As soon as we came in a looked at the menu, the owner came right up to us with a huge smile, welcoming us to his establishment and making sure we had the full menu. The order station server was kind and very knowledgeable, even allowing us to make adjustments to our platter and making sure that we were satisfied with our order. The server who brought our food was such a sweet lady that reminded me of a kind family member, bringing us plates and explaining the all of the condiment bottles on the table. Top notch service!

Food The Mac n Cheese and BBQ baked beans were my favorite part of the meal. They had great texture, flavor, and were prepared just right. The fries were standard but that honey cornbread was perfect!

They have the best Greek Salad around to be honest I can go for just that! It was above and beyond what’s expected of a Greek salad. And their Greek dressing is the best around, I’ll be buying some for myself!

The chicken wings had a dry rub on them that was decent, very low sodium which is ok for some, but lacked the smokiness and smoke ring texture expected from smoked wings. They were good though, at least better than bad.

The Brisket hands down was melt in your mouth juicy, had a nice smoke ring and was cut perfectly, this was probably executed the best out of all the smoked meats. The flavor was a little lackluster as far as seasoning but was prepared excellently and I have no complaints there.

The ribs. It’s the ribs. I definitely was served back ribs and while they were prepared well, there just isn’t enough meat on the ribs to justify the price nor to live up to the name of the restaurant. While a great attempt and look, I can’t say that I will ever order the ribs again.

Their spicy BBQ sauce is amazing though, I will definitely be buying a bottle or two for myself.

All in all this is a must try as it is a solid BBQ place for those who are looking for Halal BBQ. I would give this place a 9/10, I do recommend and I will...

I'll Start this review by saying This was the best barbecue I've had in a long time I give A.B.'s amazing ribs a 4.9 out of 5 stars. Since this is my 1st visit I ordered the feast for one person which was $32. In this feast you get 1/3 pound brisket, 2 bones of ribs, 3 chicken wings an order of Mac and cheese French fries a small cole slaw and a piece of corn bread. The ribs I give 5/5 stars They were very delicious and no sauce needed! The brisket was also delicious, juicy, very tender and melted in my mouth I will also give 5/5 stars. The chicken wings were smoked & very well seasoned But could not compete with the ribs and the brisket so I give 3/5 stars. The Mac and cheese tasted good but seemed more like an out of the Box item instead of made from scratch so for that reason I give 2/5 stars. The French fries were batterd style and had really good Flavor but they were cold. The cole slaw was very tasty with a slight sweetness to it and And the corn bread was so delicious it was almost like a little dessert loaf. They have a regular and a spicy sauce at the table kind of a smoky and cherry wood flavor sauces I couldn't figure out which one I liked the best. They have a large variety of drink choices all for only $1. They had really wimpy Coney island style napkins but very sturdy on plastic Ware. The money paid for the amount of food I received definitely worth It! And the workers were super nice and actually came out to my table and asked me if I was enjoying my food my cool so that's a plus. I wouldn't call this place amazing but it was ok at best. We ordered the platter for two so we could sample everything. The brisket was very tender but much like the ribs and chicken, lacked flavor. I was expecting a flavor burst in my mouth! It just didn't happen for me for neither the brisket, chicken or the ribs. Our chicken was under cooked. And I had hoped the skin would be crunchy. Instead it was more like soggy. The beef ribs were pretty tough. I expected the meat to fall off the bone...no such luck. As for the sides, the mac and cheese tasted like 'boxed' and we ate about a spoonful a piece. The cole slaw was was drier than we liked. In fact, there were pieces of slaw in the bowl that was as dry as a bone. The cornbread was more like cake and far too sweet for us. Sadly, the best thing on the plate for us were the fries.
