IHOP — Restaurant in Decatur

Our waitress was sweet enough, but the manager and another employee were screaming curse words in the "cooking area", which is partially visible in most of the dining area, and while they were screaming profanities- we personally had 2 children at our table, and within the restaurant were a dozen more children/ teens. And everyone in the entire restaurant got so quiet and was just looking around while this one girl yelled quite a few bad words off, we were tempted to walk out right then and there. (Too bad we didnt... ) I just found the whole thing so inappropriate, immature, and both employee & mgr probably need to be retrained on workplace etiquette, but wait -- THATS NOT EVEN THE WORST PART... Our food was. The french toast was missing the vanilla icing drizzle, the burger was too pink & way too raw in the middle, the coffee was burnt, the fries were cold and just to get HALF OF OUR FOOD brought to the table took an HOUR AND A HALF. Our 2 kids orders, a "smiley face pancake" & "2 chicken strips & a waffle" were one of the last items to get to the table, after 1½ hrs . After 2 hours we finally asked them to CANCEL the orders that they still hadn't brought us and we all left, some of us still hungry. THEY WERE NOT EVEN BUSY & right when we were walking in, we heard the manager talking about sending people home bc they were so dead, but then we get such terrible service..... maybe those employees should have...

Terrible experience! My dad and I came out to visit family and decided to meet everyone for breakfast before we left! we were seated at 11AM and didn't leave till 1PM! Food and empty plates were left at tables around us for the entire time we were there! No one would pick up our trash (empty coffee creamers/sugar wrappers) or empty plates from our table. I watched the hostess continue to try and seat ppl but couldn't because at one point there were no cleaned off tables LOL my cousin is vegetarian and asked that the bacon that came with her meal be put on someone else's plate and it came out on her plate with her eggs soaked in bacon grease. We asked if they could please re-cook her eggs without the bacon. She didn't get her scrambled eggs and toast till we were all done with our food- approx 45 mins it took to remake scrambled eggs (which they didn't because they were cold and probably just moved onto another plate). Also we over heard the lovely kitchen staff fighting with the waiter staff. One of the waitresses yelled "Don't you throw anything at me again!!". Not sure what was going on but it clearly is affecting the quality of service ppl are receiving at this location. All of our food came out at different times and no one offered to comp anything on our ticket or apologize for the wait or anything! We...

Terrible experience. First time I have ever walked out of a restaurant. The server we had treated my mother and myself poorly over our dietary restrictions.. my mother is allergic to avocados, so she asked to not have any on her plate. I am a vegetarian, so I asked to leave out the meat on my breakfast bowl. I have never had anyone complain about my diet. This server was the first. We heard her place our order to the cook, she said "it is not my fault" that our order was customized to our needs. Then said "God forbid do not add avocados" to my mother's order. We asked to speak to the manager and she smartly told us the manager already knew about us. OK. So the manager speaks with us, nodding, says the matter will be handled, all while the disrespectful employee is standing next to her, correcting us on what she actually had said. I could never be convinced that the manager or the server actually cared about how disrespected we felt as we left the restaurant. I will not return to this location or recommend it because of the lack of care these two individuals have for customers. And I would name drop BUT neither of them gave us their names, if that is any indication on their knowingly...
