Taco Casa — Restaurant in Decatur

Stopped in to get my kid dinner before going home. We walk in there and waited in line for our food. We ordered two bean and cheese burritos and two drinks at 9:33pm and at 9:50 I finally had enough listening to the manager who was named Karla, scold her employees for not calling her and letting her know that they needed help, talking to them like they were her kids. I do believe I heard "yall know better than this" several times while she stood there looking at a screen that she wasnt even trying to get the food out. She was too busy complaining and looking at her employees to do everything instead of getting her customers out the door. Any ways, I finally had enough around 9:50pm and tried to get her attention and instead the cashier came to speak with me. Karla didn't even look my way then when I asked for a refund, Karla looked my way and stated "we CANT give refunds" as she is opening up machine to start making my kids burrito. Then I asked for Corporates contact number and was told she didn't have one and didnt know the number to give me. Then when I told her I've worked in fast food in the past and you should never refuse someone a refund and you most definitely do not refuse to give Corporates number. Need less to say....I left without a refund and without a number to contact someone above her because she refused to give me the info. I got her name from an employee and found Corporate online. The star isn't for her...its for her staff that has to put up with her. Very unprofessional and needs new training on how to deal with employees...

Great friendly workers always trying too keep up the good vibes very professional and know their rolls at making this the go too spot too share a laugh or see the staff do things alittle different then any other fast food establishment the employees are very kind and caring as long as you catch them on a good day or bad day the customer is always right period that's the best thing about this place and that's the way I believe any business should be run really well there are just some situations that just can't be avoided and sometimes the customer is actually wrong or you figure out that your wrong which has happened a few times no one is a saint anyways this place is top notch always clean and sanitized floors are kept cleaned and scrubbed dishes are not just sitting on the floor there actually getting done fairly easy once you get a rhythm down to doing them they go by pretty quickly.... Anyways I was giving a review and got carried away my apologies but as a fast food establishment this is a very lively place with lots of good times and the staff is just amazing if you ever have any problems the person you wanna see and talk too is misty she's the general manager of the place ken is the owners name very very nice people caring and very kind and are doing an amazing job at keeping this place going I hope in the near future they expand alittle or figure out a different way too place everything.... I love Taco Casa!!! However, the only reason I’m giving just 3 stars is the horrible service at this location. I have eaten here out of necessity for years if you live in and around Decatur Texas you know your limited for food choices. That being said after years of horrible service (wrong orders, inconsistent food, employees that don’t care, lack of acknowledgment when you are trying to order drive through or dine in) I’m leaving this review. If you live in Decatur Texas your kinda stuck with it and if you get that taco craving you need to get your fix from somewhere!! If you traveling through just keep going. A few miles down 287 Avondale / Haslet exit is just a short drive to better food and service. If you gotta have your Taco Casa fix though there is a much better location in Rhome Texas a few miles down the road....
