I’ve been to Maggie’s plenty of times, but after getting punched in the face by a white woman for no reason, this will be my last. It started with a white guy yelling the N-word during a song, then shouting homophobic slurs minutes later. I turned to look, shocked, and got hit. I left, changed clothes (because yes, I was in a strapless dress and furious), and came back ready to defend myself. Instead of getting support after being assaulted, I was thrown out by “security” like I was the problem. The girl who hit me stood there laughing with her friends, feeling bold because she was surrounded by regulars who clearly get away with a lot. Management and staff—including Rusty and Pablo—have brushed me off and made me feel like just another “angry Black woman.” No accountability, no apology, nothing. Just told to “move on.” I asked to see the video as Pablo said I started the fight (no one was fighting). I have injuries and had to take the next day off work smh This place clearly doesn’t care about Black women or basic respect. Come here at your own risk.

Maggie’s Neighborhood Bar and Grille, or Mags as us Emory students call it, is a good bar. I didn’t end up getting anything to drink besides water, but the onion rings were good. I give this place a 4/5 solely on personal preference that it’s a smoking establishment, and I’m pretty sensitive to cigarette smoke.

This place’s ambiance is unmatched. Nothing too crazy, no drinks menu and the simplest food selection ever and yet it has a powerful way of keeping everyone around. The man behind the bar is a real superhero, mixing our drinks and serving us the food alone like he is an army of 12 man. Definetly would go back.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Seriously, WOW. I have never been so offended in my entire life. The bartender is a judgemental piece of crap. I didn't bring my ID inside since we were just getting food and the bartender said we needed them even if we were just ordering food so I started to go to the car but my boyfriend was already going to go get water from the car so he went out and he didn't hear the part about needing IDs, so when he came back without them and said "oh! I can get them now, I didn't hear you!" she told me after he left that I had to leave because she "thinks we're on something and are acting weird". Excuse me? My boyfriend didn't hear me, so I am apparently "on something"? Wow. He went inside and showed her our IDs and told her they don't deserve our business. That is no way to treat a customer.

Also, their online menu is wrong. They do not have beer battered anything and the mozzarella sticks are normal,...

I really can't believe the service, rather the lack of service I received. After work, I go there and get ten wings and a couple of drinks. Tonight, I was told at 12:30 A.M. that the kitchen was closed only for a lady to come up 5 - 10 minutes after I ordered my drink and order lemon pepper wings. APPALLED, the waiter brings my drink back and I mention to him that that lady ordered food and I watched the other bartender key it in. He went to the back and said something to her and they come back seriously trying to convince me that she was there first...lol...PITIFUL!!! I called them out on their BS and the male bartender nonchalantly says "do you want to close or open a tab?". I politely handed him his drink and left the establishment. I can't believe how I was treated today. I love this place but the bartenders are immoral...
