Sonic Decatur, you have a very sweet lady working for you. She's out here busting her tail so she can feed her family. And guess what your machines are robbing her of her TIPS that she so deserves. Please fix these machines it's not fair that she comes out here and works and doesn't get the tips that she deserves because SOME OF THE machines are broke. so when the people pay with their ATM credit cards, NOT ALL THE MACHINES ARE WORKING, AND she's NOT ALWAYS getting paid her tips. So I'm reaching out to you right now to get a technician out here and fix these machines. We live in a world that has the best technology in the whole world. We don't live in a third world country. And this is for the public, NOT ALL these machines will not pay these girls their tips. There is a Walgreens that's right on the corner that has an ATM machine and you can go in there and get some money out. It only takes a couple of minutes. This company is not properly maintaining their machines out here on the CarHop. So the people that are waiting on you are not ALWAYS getting their tips. and that's not fair to them. Hello corporate. I hope you're seeing this message. This is your business and somebody needs to be overseeing the functions of this place, including the ATM /credit card machines at the CarHop. It's not fair that the staff loses their money and they're out here busting their tails to work everyday. Please get these machines fixed you just don't even understand the magnitude of loss of wages each and every day that these people are suffering just because these CarHop machines are not working. How would you feel if you came to work each day and this was happening to you?? And you can see how many cars came through, and the amount of money being lost if half the machines don't work? This is a very busy...
Read moreDo not eat (or, in my case, attempt to eat) at this Sonic location. I have been here twice with about a year between visits, and both times, they couldn't even get my drink order correct. The staff (including the "manager") are all apathetic teenagers who barely know what they're doing. My most recent visit was a complete disaster. I placed two orders via the mobile app. The first order was originally delivered to the wrong stall and contained an incorrect drink order. The second order was for a sundae, which the carhop informed me they were not able to make. Every other Sonic location I've been to somehow informs the online ordering system when they are out of or unable to make a particular item so that you can't order it. Both an employee and manager at this location claimed they had no way to do it, but I've seen it done at two other locations. I had to call their India-based call center and deal with that to get my refund, which, thankfully, was granted after I had to read off every detail on the receipt -- the restaurant had no way to refund the order. There are plenty of other Sonics in North Alabama that do not have these problems --...
Read moreThis is a Sonic. If you know what a Sonic is, this one seems to be a good one. It was quick and they got our order correct.
If you don't know what a Sonic is you should stop by if you're not in a hurry, they aren't crowded and you have the proper attitude. Sonic is sort of a Dairy Queen where you don't get out of your car. The basic flaw of Sonic, and every drive in for that matter, is the parallelism of the ordering process. Most fast food shops have a few cashier's taking orders each with a line of customers. At Sonic there is apparently one cashier taking several orders at once. The cashier gets overwhelmed, your order gets entered incorrectly and what arrives at your car is a game of pure chance. With the proper attitude it is a game and thus fun. There are rewards (the food is satisfying no matter what you get). So go ahead and press the red button place your order and let the wheel spin. Unlike a slot machine, you will usually get something. If you don't then press it again. Just don't pay the second time (and they don't...
