Went to this store today shopping for bras. Bra department was in such disarray and racks are overstocked. It was very difficult to find styles I liked in the size I needed. It was a pain to find a fitting room. An employee strolling by sent me to a closed fitting room. Once I got to the indicated fitting room, it was closed and a different employee sent me to a fitting room in another part of the store which was also closed! The third fitting room was open, but every room was untidy and full of rejected try-ons.
To get the 30% off coupon, required that I down load the Belk app! When I inquired about the discount, was told that if I had an old phone that I could get the discount at the counter. So in order to get the discount without the app, I would have to lie about having an old phone. No Thanks! The Maidenform bra I was interested in was $44. Went home and found the exact same bra online for $18.99 so I bought two of the exact same bra for a total of $41.02 with tax and shipping!
I will NEVER download an app that is designed to track my movement and shopping habits in a store! At this point Belk is only good for trying items on, but not for buying. Try on at Belk's but...
Read moreMy main complaint I have is never having the capability to open the app or my browser to have access to my coupons (I had ATT 5G full bars, there was no reason why it wouldn't open). Apparently, others were having the same issues, and they were being told it was because everyone was trying to use it in the store. Normally, it is no big deal because the ladies at the register will go ahead and scan any coupons going on for that day. However, the lady at the counter told me if I couldn't pull them up, then there was nothing she could do. I don't know if she just didn't have them there at the register to scan or just didn't want to fool with it. Just kinda rubbed me the wrong way since I was using my Belk card and have never had problems with that before. Maybe yall should try to boost service or wifi so that the app/browser can be opened for everyone and the ladies wouldn't have to worry about scanning...
Read moreI just moved to the area and it was my first time at a Belk's. It seemed like the departments were well organized, but they had a giant sale going on... whoa... racks everywhere crammed with items. It was crowded and confusing, so I just stuck to what I could find fairly quickly. Fortunately there were many choices in a variety of sizes.
I was able to find several things to try on and didn't have to wait too long to use the fitting room. It looked like servicing them wasn't a priority, as the rooms were filled with discarded clothing.
There had been a long line of shoppers when I arrived, but the counter was staffed well and they were moving folks along very efficiently. The clerk I had was very friendly and gave me information about the $ I'd save if I opened an account. I am usually not a pushover, but she was really friendly and not pushy, so I am now a proud owner of a Belk's...
