UPDATE I enjoy Wendy's food...IF the crew can manage to follow directions and prepare it the way the customer asked for it. That, unfortunately is the BIG problem. I probably go 2-3 a month, about 75% of the time after telling them I would like that "PLAIN ADD MUSTARD" then making them repeat my order back specifically to make sure they heard and understood my request, it's still wrong. I call and complain, they tell me "we have no problem replacing your order" but what about my time? What about the fuel spent to drive back to replace my food? What about the fact that it's not a very occasional slip up? It's a chronic ongoing issue that STARTS with the management team. Kids working their first job need direction, they need people to make sure they understand what's expected, they need people to show them the importance of working quickly, efficiently, and most important accurately. I normally have to spend a minimum of 10-12 minutes in the drive thru lane whether there's another car in front of me or not and there's no way that is upholding corporate standards for drive thru times, which if everything is good honestly I can overlook the wait, but all too often after said wait my food isn't even prepared correctly.
It has been a month since my last trip to Wendy's when I left the original review, same management, same problems, different day. I order a burger plain, cashier repeats the order back to verify she heard me say plain, I agree that yes I did say plain, I unwrap my burger to find it swimming in a lake of ketchup and mayonnaise. I call and ask for the district manager's number, because obviously the general manager doesn't care enough to fix the issue and was told they have no way to contact the district manager. In my professional experience the DM's contact information along with any other related business contacts are generally posted in the office, so I'm skeptical of their claim, but I'll call in the AM to speak with the GM, surely they have the contact...
Read moreThis was by far the worst experience at Wendy's I've ever had. We were told the system was down so it would be 10-15 minutes before they could take our order. Ten minutes later we were again informed that it would be 10-15 minutes, after telling the employee that we would wait, she almost immediately ask for the order but said it would be ten minutes if we were ordering meat. Ask for a sweet tea but was told that since they were getting ready to close that they didn't offer tea. When we pulled to the window, the employee was cussing loudly to the other employee on duty. We could hear her through the closed drove thru window. When our order was finally given to us we checked it for correctness before pulling off. One of the sandwiches was missing. She made a rude comment then went and made the sandwich without even having to ask which one we didn't receive, leading me to believe that she knew she didn't put the sandwich in the bag to begin with. I work in customer service and this was by far the most unprofessional way to conduct business that I have...
Read moreWhen you go to Wendy’s you expect a better quality meal. I was so disappointed. I went through the drive through and after I was a little ways from them. I reached in for some hot fries. I pulled out cold chopped fries. I turned around and went back. I went in and there was another person returning their complete meal. I opened my spicy chicken sandwich and it was burnt. I then saw the young man on the fry station dumping the fries out and chopping them. I asked him what he was doing and he said breaking up the fries. He was not shaking the basket while they were frying. The manager came over and we showed her our orders. She re-cooked our meals but the fries were still being chopped. She stated I can’t be everywhere at once. I was so disappointed with not only the food but the I don’t care service provided. I let the manager know I would never be back. She said “ok, I understand”. Wendy’s has always been our go to, but not anymore. Very disappointed. No one cares anymore about the customer. Spend your money here but get...
