I ordered flowers for my stepdad’s memorial this weekend. For $136 I got the arrangement you see in the picture on the left. Other family members ordered online from ProFlowers. They paid $140 and got the arrangement on the right. To be fair, I provided my own vessel and picked up the arrangement in store rather than having it delivered. But still, the difference is shocking.

I got roses, hydrangeas, iris, liatris, snapdragons, daisies, and more in the most breathtaking arrangement from Simple Expressions. I almost felt guilty for how little I paid in comparison to the size of the arrangement! Where I live in Indiana, this would have cost at least $200!

What I ordered and what I had delivered were very different arrangements. Though the arrangement was still very lovely and the flowers were healthy and beautiful, it was still not what I spent a total of $55 on. While I understand flower shipments come at different times during the week, I wish I had been notified that what I had ordered was not in stock so that we could come up with something together. I wanted to use a florist local to my family and I was a little nervous ordering online without knowing what would arrive but the arrangement was absolutely beautiful. They were so much bigger and more creative than the picture that was shown online and I’m so grateful I could support a business local to them who clearly love what they do.
