First, I want to say that the good things about this restaurant was the atmosphere. It was good and they were nice.. but we had never eaten here before and my friend and I went there for a business lunch.. you have to make sure if you’re ordering a combo plate that you order by the number .. when we ordered they brought out a number 14 for my friend instead of the number 16 because their names were very close.. she ordered crispy taco plate and they brought her Carne Guisada plate. She was going to make the best of it and try the Carne guisada but the chili gravy tasted straight up like chef Boyardee ravioli with some chili seasoning. She doesn’t like that flavor and not all gravy recipes are alike. This is supposed to be authentic Mexican so maybe the recipe is just not to our taste.. she made the best of it ate the two enchiladas that were on the plate with her homemade tortillas.. and she asked for at least the two crispy tacos on the side. She put them on her plate ate one of the tacos, and there was a fly that was flying around us so now she’s swatting at it. It decides to land on her plate and walk around on her food and at that point she was done, so the carne guisada , the whole taco and her beans and rice that she was going to take home to her husband did not get eaten.. and though they gave her the plate for Free, they did charge her for the tacos lol even though she didn’t get to eat both because The fly...
Read moreDecided to give this place a shot. When around dinner time, the we’re not many people there at all. Service was efficient, and we were seated quickly. Our waiter was great and attentive. Made sure we had all of our questions answered. We got brought out some red and green salsa. The green salsa was good. But the red salsa tasted like tomato sauce with a little bit of jalapeños in it. We did not enjoy the red salsa at all. They need to work on the recipe. Ordered some queso to start. Now the queso was really good. The chips were average. I ordered the #14, which came with a soft beef taco( I opted for crunchy), a chicken tostada, and 1 cheese enchilada. The enchilada was great, sauce was flavorful and had good cheese. The chicken tostada was ok, just average really. The beef taco was not good at all. The beef was this really really fine ground beef and the texture was not pleasant. I didn’t eat it. The rice was better than most places around here. My friend got the queso flameado with fajita chicken. He loved it. Overall it’s your average Mexican food restaurant. I’d go back but not often to be honest. It’s the salsa, it’s the main way I judge a Mexican restaurant. If they improve on the sauce, I’d...
Read moreThe restaurant recently opened under new ownership. From the moment we were seated, service by the staff was notably a priority. They were all very polite and attentive. The owner would often check in with all the guests at their and our tables to see if anything was needed. If so, he would personally attend. Arrived on a late Saturday morning and had Menudo and a breakfast taco. The menudo was excellent and when I commented to the owner that I appreciated the fact that it was cooked with pigs feet, he brought me an extra portion - very nice! The chorizo and egg taco was delicious as well. Coffee and refills were on point. By the time we were done with our meals, it was past noon and we noticed another guest with a Margarita so we had to try one 😁. It was surprisingly well made and delicious. I'm glad to have discovered this restaurant and will definitely be returning when in the area. An excellent...
