Marakand Steakhouse — Restaurant in Deerfield Township

Well, I don’t know what to start with. There is no air ventilation out there and overly used, disgusting air freshener gives you horrible headache. Don’t expect having fresh, hot meal when you visit there it won’t be served, you may have to ask it to be reheated for each food. Overpriced, and taste of the food is as horrible as their customer service. All those chairs don’t seem to match with table’s height so you have to bend over to reach your food. All you get there is back pain, cold dishes, and disappointment. Oh, also they make you feel like it’s your fault that food is not fresh and cold. They somehow blame you for coming late to have lunch and that’s why nothing is served hot. We visited Marakand Barbecue & Steak and tried their Shashlik Skewer Kebabs, which were flavorful and definitely the highlight of the meal. The steak, however, was just okay and didn’t quite stand out. They had live music which added energy to the place, but unfortunately, it was way too loud — making it hard to have any conversation at the table.

Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, beautifully decorated restaurant, great ambiance and live music! We spent approximately $60 a person but have you seen the price of lamb and beef these days? Portions were generous and so flavorful. It was a great experience and well worth the money. Their menu offers lots of options at different price points. We ordered a lot of different kabobs to sample, so our bill was on the higher side.
