My wife and I visited here for the first time at 6:30pm on the Sunday before Labor Day. Google Maps said it was much less busy than normal, so we gave it a try. It’s a very clean store and has a broad selection of shakes, candies, and a few sundaes. There were three people working. The guy taking orders was friendly and helpful. The customer in front of us ordered 7 shakes so we figured it would take a while to get ours, which it did. Just after we got our shakes, a very large group of people (perhaps 25 or so) arrived. The noise level suddenly became excessive, and the three employees were frantically trying to take and fill orders. Sure glad we arrived when we did.
The price for two shakes with tip (they only have one size shake and it was a medium compared to most other places) came to just over $20, which is about the same price with tip as two large Graeter’s shakes. As for taste, they were ok, but not as good as Graeter’s. In fact, a UDF chocolate shake made with chocolate ice cream has a better chocolate flavor than my Chocolatier shake here.
Overall, I’m glad I tried The Milkshake Factory, but when I want a shake in the future, I’ll go to Graeter’s for a better shake at a better price with...
Read moreFriend is thinking of franchising out of state and asked me to check it out as a second opinion (he knows I am a 2 per center when it comes to eating way too much ice cream and having strong opinions on what I like). The store appearance is very clean and not confusing at all. The staff was very friendly and found a friends daughter working there that I had seen in a decade, nice doing a little catch up. The Chocolatier shake had a great taste to it and good consistency. I appreciated the bits of chocolate that were blended into it. The piece of chocolate bar on the top of the lid was a nice add and good quality.
Spoke to my friend while in the parking lot sipping on the shake and gave him a thumbs up from a presentation and quality of...
Read moreWent yesterday afternoon (Monday). Was really excited to try this location out, been watching for them to open. First impressions were pretty poor, we walked in to zero greeting even though they all looked at us and we were the only customers. The kind of look that would have you checking their hours. Minus one star for that, just felt very strange...especially a new place. We both commented on it after leaving.
Now to the good, staff were adequately friendly during actual interactions. The Bananas Foster shake was quite good and tasted like quality. The location was clean and nice looking. They do sell chocolate, floats and other desserts as well. We will go back and just hope walking in the door isn't so...
