we stayed here 3 years ago and it was great. rooms were fantastic. this time however, complete opposite. we got 2 rooms, 1 had to be an ADA room for our gramma. we get to the entry door by our rooms, no wheel chair ramp, the ada room was right inside the door, would have been nice if the wheelchair could have went in that way. cigarette butts all over the ground by the door, right inside the hallway looked like it hadnt been vacuumed in weeks. in the ada room, my wife is very pro active and decided to clean the grab bars before my gramma had to use them in the bathroom. she simply wiped them down, the one fell right off the wall, will almost no pressure at all, good thing my gramma didnt try using it. the sink in the bathroom didnt have any ada required material around the trap underneath it. which is supposed to be there to protect her legs, did i mention im a plumber for over 30 years and a GC over 15? so i know the codes. there was no place to put anything in the bathroom either. no small cabinet or countertop, nothing. the toilet seat was also loose, ADA rooms are supposed to have a shower, this did not, so my gramma could not shower or bathe at all. the bed sheets were stained. the tvs are hung on the wall, above the closet, im 6' tall and could reach them to turn them where they needed to be to watch them, but if my wife and gramma had been there alone, they couldnt have turned them. our room, was worse. supposed to be non smoking rooms, but the lav in our room had cigarette stains all over it, it also wasnt cleaned very well as there was some sort of sticky residue on it, that rubbed off with a rag. no coverings on the trap underneath it, trap is metal, which rusts and has calcium build up. the lav drain was clogged and slowly drained. the toilet seat was loose and also had no bolt covers on the bolts at the base. the towles where like drying off with sand paper, very rough. both rooms smoke alarms looked like they were falling off the ceilings, the sprinkler head in my room had a cup over top of it. the kithenette sink faucet spout was crooked. these may seem like picky things to some people, but for $300 for 2 nights, i expect it to be nice. the bedding in our room had stains on the comforter, there were hairs on the sheets, that werent ours, the sheets werent even covering the matress sides, as if it was put on by someone that doesnt know how to make a bed. all the cupboards in the kitchenette were filthy, like they havent been wiped down in years. this place went from an 8-9 out of 10 3 years ago, to a 1 out of 10 now. i can promise we wont be back, and ill be hard pressed to use any wyndham property at this point. i have pictures...

Where do I start? Before even checking in, we noticed right away that the interior of this place did NOT match the pictures, which were obviously taken way back when it first opened. The inside is run down with holes and dents in the wall, smells terrible, and you can see a huge mess behind the front desk. The end of the hallway also strongly smelled of vomit.
We started walking to our room, and the staircase was was definitely neglected while cleaning. It smelled, had brown dripping stains on the wall, broken lights hanging by wires, and mouse droppings and food debris in the window. In the hallway to our room, we were immediately hit in the face by a disgusting musty and smokey smell, and our room smelled even stronger. The room was absolutely atrocious; extremely run down, again looked nothing like the photos, hair in the bathroom, and VERY musky. Rather than the couch that was pictured, we had a broken futon. It was such a strong & terrible smell that we were getting a headache within only a few minutes. Within less than 10 minutes of checking in, we went to the front desk and let them know about the terrible smell. Their response? “Ok we’ll make a note.” And that was it. Nothing else. It didn’t take long to understand that the manager was not going to be interested in helping us.
Unfortunately for us, we booked through a military website that is supposed to be cheaper and helpful. They would only refund the room if the hotel manager agreed to it. They called him and he asked that we go back and talk to him again. At first, he said he would give us a refund, and then changed his story to say that he wouldn’t give us a refund because we were “there for an hour”. So even though we had a disgusting and unsanitary room in an equally disgusting and unsanitary hotel, the manager wouldn’t do a thing to help because we checked in an hour ago. He then offered to switch the room, however after seeing the terrible state of the “hotel” and the multiple recent reviews with photos of bed bugs, we had no interest in seeing another room.
After going back and forth with the manager and the booking company and getting nowhere, we eventually decided that the room was so gross and dirty that we would take the loss and pay out of pocket for another hotel.
I will never, ever return to this or any other Microtel, and I should have known better. I have never in my life been in a hotel that disgusted me so much that I had to leave without a refund. That speaks volumes, and even on a budget, I would never recommend...

I booked this on Priceline at the last minute because it was an inexpensive suite and I have a two-year old who doesn't sleep well when she can see us in the room. What we found was not a suite, but a bed and a couch separated by a tiny kitchenette.
When I arrived, I asked the clerk if they had any cribs available. He did not know what a crib was, so I had to explain it. They did not have any, but luckily we brought a pack and play. When I came back to ask for a bedsheets for it (I assumed a room with a foldout would have an extra sheet, and I was wrong), the clerk did not know what a bed sheet is. I am not exaggerating. I had to describe to a hotel clerk what a sheet is.
The place was filthy. They obviously don't vacuum the hall, and the stairwell had a disgusting, sticky liquid on it. It looked like they allow filth to drip from garbage cans as they drag them out. I called Priceline and told the the place was unacceptable. They called the front desk to try to get a refund, and they refused. I went down to the clerk who was on the phone with his manager, and he said they would not issue a refund. I asked to talk to the manager who very reluctantly talked to me after the clerk lied to me and said he was not available (I had just watched I'm talk to him on his cell phone). Talking to him was the single worst interaction I have ever had with a person in the hospitality business. They refused to refund and told me to take it up with Priceline. After a heated exchange where he made it very clear that all he cared about was that he had my money, he threatened to call the police to have me removed. During the exchange, he voiced his annoyance with being called at 11 PM. I reminded him that he is a hotel manager and that I was annoyed that my 2-year old was awake. We had no intent of staying, so we left for the Best Western down the road who had a lovely suite. Unfortunately, we did not get the baby down until 12:30 PM, though!
In addition to never staying in another Microtel, I am never booking through Priceline again. After speaking to them for what seemed like an eternity, they offered a 5% discount on my next order. What a slap in the face! From now on, I am only booking directly through hotels or through American Express Travel. They know how to treat people!
Also, there's...
