Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in DeLand

HORRIBLE! Food Was Gross! Table of Four. Two Adults / 2 Children. Arrived at 7:45pm. Sunday evening. We asked for a booth because our children (ages 3 years & 4 years old ) are Rambunctious. (3-year-old is disabled with autism) and we were placed in a low booth next to a packed bar and seating area full of guests. I asked Politely if we could move to the other side away from the bar and again asked for a booth. So we followed the hostess to the other side, passing a section of empty booths, and we placed in the middle of a crowded area at tables. I reminded the hostess again about a booth and the children being rambunctious, and I asked about a tall booth that was by the door that was empty. And she said "the section is closed" (at 7:45pm?) She made us wait in the middle of the restaurant while she checked if it was OK. After 5 minutes, we finally got to sit. Our server was awesome. very nice and friendly . (I wish I could remember her name). So we ordered separate checks, my pregnant friend and her son and me and my son.. She ordered the black bean and beef nachos as an appetizer. We both ordered Mid Rare steaks, greenbeans, and mash. Her son got Mac & cheese fries. My son cheese quesadilla & corn Cob. Finally at 9:45 pm our food came . (2 hrs) The Nachos came with idk what type of meat, but it wasn't beef. It looked like dried up shredded chewy meat. And overly melted cheese substances. And that's it no black beans or beef as advertised. It was absolutely gross and un Edible. Both of our steaks were well done and tiny . Mine was even Round from over cooking. I cut it in half it was hard as a rock and handed it to the server, who was just as shocked as I was. Our greenbeans were hard, and RAW was still uncooked. And Un edible. Mine was still cold in the middle. My sons quesadilla was burned cheese and dry. Un enabled. Her sons Mac & cheese was flavorless and looked dry.. The manager came to the table and said she understood and agreed with us. (Never Apologized) but said she would take care of the bill. The only things we could eat were the Caesar salads, mash potatoes, my sons corn, Cob. And her sons fries . The rest was gross and UN EDIBLE. They did offer us steaks to go. But I didn't take mine because at 10 pm, what's the point of taking home your food when it took this long to get it right. As we got the bill, we were still charged for all of it only at a small discount. I asked the manager why we were still being charged for the food we didn't even eat, and she said that's what the discount was for.. ( we literally only had a small " Caesar salad" and a scoop of mash potatoes. Lol ) our bills were still almost $20 each. She said she would lower it, but at this point, I had enough. I tipped our server $24, and we just left. This place should be ashamed to even be open.. we did have a nice discussion with the awesome server who's said she's been having the same thing happened to all her tables because the "Cooks" are lazy and don't do there jobs and the managers are friends with them so they never get Reprimand for their behaviors and they get away with not doing anything. She was also looking for a different job because of them. As far as we are concerned, the server should be the manager of this restaurant because whatever they have now is not doing their jobs. THE FOOD WAS GROSS ! Never coming back and spreading they word. DO BETTER! Or just...

Place is dirty. Half the tables are in use (must be low on staff) and of the half that are in use half of those were dirty from previous guest.... Service started out ok but then after we ordered hardly saw our waitress again. Never got any refills never even got the chance to ask for one. Never received our appetizer. Got a free dessert instead so at least they fixed that. But the dinner was nasty and seemed old, hardly ate any of it. The table next us gets cleaned just as our food comes, they spray disinfectant all over the table creating a cloud that covers the area. So now as im trying to eat my food and I have cleaner smell all over the area while I'm thing to eat, thanks for that. The real issue was when I went to pay; the waitress stood over me and tried to move the card reader kiosk. She turned the screen away from me out of my sight the instant I pulled my card out. I think she knew I wasn't enjoying my dinner and her lack of service she provided throughout. And I think she was trying to keep me from doing the survey on the kiosk. Which made me want to do the survey on the kiosk although I was just going to leave still hungry since I didn't eat my food. That sent me over the edge. So I grabbed the kiosk back after she left and started to survey then she must've turned around and went whoa whoa what are you doing? Dont do the survey, that will reflect badly on me. And continued to stand over me. I initially wanted to complain about the restaurant itself as a whole not necessarily just about our waitress but this was just outrageous. She said she could get the manager but I declined not wanting to make a scene (im not one of those people). My intentions weren't to get a free meal or anything or get anyone in trouble but just wanting to let someone know that restaurant is garbage and disgusting and changes are needed. Theirs a reason why the restaurant in under staffed and why the restaurant isn't full of customers, nobody wants to be comes...

If I could give it a lower rating I would. Service was the worst I've ever experienced. I'm a fellow server and am quite understanding when it comes to a dinner rush or being a bit overwhelmed but this server sat us in the back coldest corner of the restaurant on a very cold evening with my toddler. She got our order and our drinks and never saw her again! Nor did the surrounding tables in her section. We waited an hour and 45 minutes for my son's burnt burgers and cold, hard food for the rest. Not a single refill not a check in to see how things were, Nothing!! Not even a bill!! If it wasn't for the kiosk at the table I would never of been cashed out! It was a disgusting experience. I'm not sure if it was discrimination against the fact that we came with our child or just the fact that she automatically assumed we weren't going to tip good which is why she avoided us at all costs but I never leave without tipping at least 25% no matter what because I know what serving is all about. But i believe our check was $34.49 and I left $34.50 for her and a note to go along with it! That's how terrible our experience was. I almost thought we were getting pranked! I couldn't tell you what her name was because I never saw her again and we never even received a bill. I'm almost positive she probably pocketed the cash we left at the table and told her boss we walked out because she didn't get tipped because I know those kinds of servers from experience as well. But the skinny older lady with a top knot bun with dark hair is who'd I'd stay away from as well as restaurant as a whole because no caring establishment products business in such a sort. I honestly would have rather lost that money or donated it to someone in need this time of the year than to waste it on my time at a place for food that wasn't...
