It’s hard for me to rate individually because everything Ties together for me so the food can be delicious, but if the service is horrible, then it turns me off from the Food. Today I went in it was only my third time visiting this place and only this location. I don’t go to any of the other locations. The lady who was taking the order on the phone was horrible. She had a shortcut she wore glasses. She was older. she was horrible. I called in to place my order she kept telling me to hold on, then she would act like she was ready so I’m going down my order and she’s talking to other people in the background asking customers their name talking to other associates and i had patience with that so when I come to pick up Food, she’s doing the same thing I was standing in front of her in line And she goes and take somebody else’s older on the phone . so when I go outside and I’m checking my bag I realize they forgot my banana puddings so when I went back in that same lady, I described was shaking her head at me and kept looking at my receipt and asking other people if my banana pudding was in the bag and I told her I would not have came back in if my stuff was correct so she shoved the puddings in my hand and looked at me and shook her head and said have a good day in a smart way so I’m just like OK but then something told me to look at my receipt As I already pulled off and was driving and I realize they forgot my potato salad as well. The lady already made me feel wrong because they forgot my banana pudding so I was a little timid on calling back about the potato salad, but I spent my money so I definitely called back and the manager took my name down and told me I can come get it later, but then I also told him about my experience and he listened so that helped but still to have that experience. It doesn’t even make sense. and I forgot to add that when I was standing in front of her and she was doing this and doing that when she finally came to the register, I’m just like I placed the order on the phone. Read moreI went here on a recommendation for good soul food. I dunno, I hate to be too picky but it just didn't hit. The Soul Rolls were pre-fried and sitting under a warmer so it was soggy and greasy. The mac n' cheese looks good and probably would be really good if it was fresher but they have it set up with everything pre-made and on a steam table/warmer (like a buffet/cafeteria) and they let it sit too long....swap it out with the fresh stuff from the kitchen once it's been sitting, c'mon, man. You can tell the seasoning on the fried chicken was good and it was fried nicely but since it's pre-done and sits under a warmer: it was dry. Now, that smothered pork shop was nice. The gravy was good, the chop was tender so I did enjoy that but the gravy was kind of congealed because it had been sitting so long. I'm just sayin': if you're gonna have food set up that way ...once it has sat for awhile: take a small L and swap it out for fresher food. And that Soul Roll COULD have been great if they hadn't left it sitting under the warmer. I went in at like 5:00 pm on a Thursday: they weren't busy. To that end: the kitchen and line staff could have done more to keep after the food. There was lots of parking, so I parked and went inside instead to see the place instead of using the drive-through...
Nice place, although the layout is a bit confusing for a place that size... There was a roped off area right beside the register and the dining area, so everyone ordered and went by the door or stood near the counter to wait...
There are no signs to direct the customers that they have to order at the register first, and no roped off area for the order line, so no one thinks anyone is trying to jump the line...
The cashier was polite and nice, hence the three stars (she did great 👍), but the older guy serving the food was grumpy, and the manager in the black shirt wasn't polite, friendly, or seemed to have any concept of customer service... She acted more like a bouncer at a nightclub than someone managing a restaurant and handling food... She had an unapproachable demeanor like like she is annoyed with everyone and doesn't want to be there... (That's why the review lost two stars)🌟 ☹️...
