I was excited to try this place! The only server had to wipe down a table before she could seat us and another table was still full of dishes with 3 other tables still occupied by guests. She was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The water cup I received was speckled in what appeared to be overspray from black spray paint (only on the outside of the cup and I could scrape it off with my fingernails). The food tasted okay, but not authentic and even though I asked for the spice on the side of my seafood ramen, it was so spicy my eyes watered with every bite. The biggest trouble was about 30 minutes after eating, my legs, hands and feet started to swell to a very uncomfortable level. The next morning I almost called off work and my husband actually did call off work because his head felt like it was in a vice and he was extremely sensitive to light (he hasn't felt that way since soon after his concussion in spring if 2024!). My husband doesn't have paid leave at work, so that was an entire day's wages lost just because we were hoping to get good authentic Ramen made with care. My legs are still swollen 36 hours afterward and his headache lasted until we went to bed last night. Drinking a ton of extra water to flush out whatever inflaming ingredient didn't help. Ibuprofen didn't help. The lesson I've learned is to make sure that the people cooking my food know how to cook it properly, don't cut corners and use cheap imitation ingredients, and actually speak enough English to understand what customers are asking for. It's definitely strange to have an all Guatemalan kitchen staff who don't speak any English trying to make Japanese food. We cannot go back simply for health reasons after...

Hello everyone and welcome back in today’s review we are going to be reviewing YOKAI RAMEN BISTRO.
Our review it’s based in multiple visits to the restaurant to be fair with our star’s review so we are going to grade it with honesty.
What makes YOKAI RAMEN BISTRO so special and unique in comparison with others?:
No waiting at all. Great customer service. Food is great. Very cozy place. Bar available. Nice and clean facility. Free parking lots. Wheelchair access. Friendly service and they are always happy to serve. Its decorations makes this restaurant very cozy, relaxing, romantic, feels like transporting us back to some restaurants where we were in Japan. Sake’s 🍶 variety it’s very nice. If you want to impress anyone this place it’s perfect, their menu’s presentation it was great, detailed and easy to read.
🚨Improvements🚨
We used to come here pretty often specially right after their opening, than a bit later we came back few times and we find out their ramen’s broth was not tasty at all, this also came from few of my Japanese friends here and others that came to Delaware to visit relatives living in here so we stopped coming over.
🚨HOWERVER🚨 last night was GREAT, and we are glad we got its delicious flavor back because a ramen without a good broth it’s not ramen. We loved it and we are definitely coming back, was very delicious we are so happy for.

Read moreWe went in with a group of 6 and we had dinner last night! I would like to say that this place has plenty of vegetarian options and is even gluten-free friendly to an extent. But I was actually highly disappointed in this place considering that it is the only ramen spot in Delaware. Our food came out and it was room temperature at best, one of the rice bowls that we had the rice was even a tad cold. The food was definitely not packed with any type of flavor. The best thing we had would be our appetizer that was the shrimp and rice balls and even those came out room temperature at best. The vegetarian dumplings that we had came out extremely overcooked and extremely greasy. It's almost like the appetizers came from Costco. The old-fashioned Japanese beverage that I had was extremely disappointing for $11 I barely got a shot full worth of alcohol in my glass. Our waitress was extremely nice, but she barely knew the menu whatsoever. When going to restaurants like this and having such a diverse menu and a different cultured menu, it's extremely important to have waitresses that know exactly what they're talking about. This place is going to do well because it's the only one and the first one that Delaware has seen. But being a food lover, I personally would recommend going to Polaris or even listen to those Ramen spots instead. We spent $80 on two people and left extremely...
