Yesterday, I had the absolute pleasure of DJing a holiday party for the Great Wolf Lodge at Main Event Newark, and I can’t recommend this venue highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was incredible, thanks to the amazing hospitality of the staff and the top-notch entertainment options available. A huge shoutout to Technician Supervisor DJ and Restaurant Operations Manager Tim for going above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor made the event stress-free and enjoyable for everyone. It’s clear they take pride in making every guest feel welcome. Main Event Newark truly has something for everyone. The bowling lanes are state-of-the-art, the laser tag arena is exciting and immersive, the arcade features over 100 games, and the gravity ropes course is a thrilling challenge. Whether you’re hosting a corporate event, celebrating a birthday, or just looking for a fun night out, this entertainment center has it all. The entire staff was so pleasant and accommodating, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made the event even more special. The venue itself is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, making it a perfect spot for family outings or group events. If you’re in Newark, Delaware, and looking for an unforgettable entertainment experience, I highly recommend Main Event. Their commitment to excellence, combined with their wide variety of activities, makes them stand out as a premier destination. I can’t wait to come back! Thank you, Main Event Newark, for an amazing experience! Keep up the fantastic work!

Update: I would like to share my recent experience at Main Event during my birthday celebration with my family, which left me quite dissatisfied. I encountered difficulties in receiving assistance when needed. Despite standing in line for 15 minutes, I observed one manager and three staff members preoccupied with setting up retractable belt barriers and unable to provide support. Although a front desk staff member noticed me waiting, they chose to engage in a conversation with another colleague rather than offering assistance. When I finally received service, the interaction felt rushed, despite me not voicing any complaints, as I was eager to enjoy the festivities. Furthermore, after two hours of playing, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for assistance at the winning ticket store. This experience did not meet my expectations, and I believe improvements in customer service would greatly enhance the enjoyment for future visitors. Previous- I recently visited Main Event and had a wonderful experience. The facility was impressively clean, and the layout made it easy to navigate from one activity to the next. The food was delightful with a variety of options to choose from, making it a perfect spot to grab a bite while enjoying some entertainment. The selection of games was extensive, catering to all ages and interests, and the bowling experience was particularly enjoyable. I was thrilled to find that they had bowling shoes available in size 18, which is a rarity for me and definitely a highlight of the visit. As someone who frequently visited Round One in Pennsylvania, I was curious to see how Main Event compared. I'm happy to report that the arcade did not disappoint and offered an equally engaging and fun-filled environment. Overall, my first-time visit to Main Event was a fantastic one, and I look forward to returning soon with friends and family to explore more of what they have to offer.

I want to give this 4 stars, but we experienced way too much pandemonium during our recent time there. We visited for a small birthday party, and let me be honest: Main Event is very impressive. It reminds me of a Dave & Busters with plenty of arcade games (that were pretty clean despite how busy they were), an entire bowling alley, and plenty of restaurant spaces with tables for seating, and a bar. It is family friendly, but if visiting on a weekend, wear your running shoes because (if you have small kids), you’ll be walking constantly with next to no seating in the arcade area while your kids jump from game to game. The reason I knocked off two stars is because of the customer service at the bowling alley/ordering food. We were moved lanes because I guess they were overbooked, which wasn’t a big deal until we tried to order. No one to be found. We were promised someone would come take our order, but no one showed. So, we had to track down a manager who was very kind and compensated us for lack of service. Our food was very hot, tasty, and the options were pretty great even if you have picky eaters. But, we received double orders so it seems like it was another compensation or the kitchen was just as chaotic as the floor. We would definitely return, but only during the school year or early mornings. About half the employees we spoke to weren’t knowledgeable about what was going on…or they were just teenagers paid to do one job or know about that one job only. For example, one girl was guarding the plates of a birthday party that hadn’t arrived yet, even though our birthday party had yet to receive anything. And she didn’t move from her spot to help us or find someone to help. Regardless, it’s a very nice addition to Newark and I see why it’s constantly crowded.

To the Owner, Company:: I am writing to provide feedback regarding my recent visit to your establishment. I believe it is crucial to foster an environment of honesty and work together in utmost good faith for the benefit of both customers and your organization. Firstly, I would like to address a concerning incident that occurred during my visit. Unfortunately, there was an unsettling experience involving an employee named Germany. It appeared that Germany, in collaboration with the manager, was involved in mishandling financial matters. Regrettably, Germany left without providing us with the necessary receipt, making it difficult for us to verify the transaction. I attempted to discuss this matter with the manager; however, he seemed unwilling to engage in a constructive conversation. I wish to emphasize that our intention was not solely to request a refund but to bring this incident to the manager's attention, ensuring transparency and accountability. It is essential for all employees, regardless of their position, to uphold the values of honesty and integrity. In the spirit of offering positive feedback, I would like to recognize the efforts of Jada, a member of your staff. Jada provided exceptional service at the pub, accompanied by a delightful smile, making the overall experience more enjoyable. I believe that by fostering an environment where honesty and good faith are paramount, your establishment can thrive and maintain a loyal customer base. Transparency and accountability are the cornerstones of any successful organization, and I trust that you will take this feedback seriously. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope that my feedback will contribute to the improvement of your establishment and the overall customer experience.

Worst experience ever! We went and a guy measured my son with another manager (lady in her 30s long brown hair Caucasian) The lady said he was the height requirement for the air gravity thing, and then the girl at the harness station refused to let him on. She said he was too short. We said he was measured, and they said he was fine. He has autism and explaining to an autistic child that an adult messed up measuring because she was too lazy to look and was busy looking at her phone and said yes anyway, when the guy placed him up against the wall for measurement was awful. Plus, there are not supposed to be refunds. That is why measurement requirements are done first. He was literally 1/10 of an inch off (which wasn't the problem. The problem was the cacusain lady with long brown hair in her 30s messed up and refused to admit it and blamed my child and me for something she agreed to. To the point she begged the girl running the station for the harnesses to let him on so she wouldnt have to get the general manager), and the general manager (African American lady) offered a ball and 10 dollars worth of arcade money to "fix" him not going up with his cousins. It was awful and made it awful to explain to him. Oh, the icing on the cake was him being able to do the Lazer tag even though he didn't meet that height requirement 48 in that was the same for the anti gravity thing? Doesn't make sense. I WILL NEVER BE BACK! Not to mention, food was 😖 awful!! Editing to add that the link does not work. At all! Adding photo proof below!

Came to this location for the first time on a Saturday night and this place was packed. Upon arriving we decided to get on the waitlist for the lanes, shoe rental is $4.25. Walked around to see if we could be put on the list for laser tag or the climbing ropes and everything was sold out so the only thing we were able to do was bowl and eat some food. The bar area was very busy but our service Skyler was absolutely amazing keeping up with the six people that we have in our group. She make sure we had drinks or food was good. The only thing I can laugh about was my chicken sandwich did not come with sauce and when I asked for some, I got a whole bottle of mayo lol so be prepared. The tequila sunrise was my favorite and the vibes are great. This place is definitely family oriented, high energy, and a good time with decent food, younger staff that is polite and an array of things to do and see. Be sure to leave on time because they cut everything off 3 minutes till closing to try not to print pictures like us at the last minute. The bathrooms were the worst part of the whole experience tho. Tissue paper and water all over the floor, stalls out of paper grinders by the sink smh. I will be back to try the other activities this place has to offer soon
