Our food was overcooked and the dough wasn't tasty. Our breadsticks had weird hard brown bubbles all over them and both orders were old dough and or overcooked because they were all follow on the inside. Literally empty and very crunchy. My husband suggested this place because he said they are generous with their cheese and he likes it so I ordered my pepperoni pizza light cheese and I pretty much got no cheese. All pizzas were flat and hard like they were overcooked or the dough was old. I tried multiple times to contact the store over messenger. I sent pictures which I wish I could upload, I will come back later and upload if I can. When I finally got ahold of someone I was only offered a partial store credit even though I sent pictures and requested a full refund. I won't be going back. Food wasn't good and customer service wasn't either. This order obviously should have been remade, no staff should have let food that looked like...
Read moreI heard about Fat Boys several years ago, but I don't live in Holt and pretty much have no reason to go there. Until today, that is. So we had to check it out. We had a small pie with pepperoni and a side of breadsticks. My daughter said it was all the best she's had. I thought it was pretty good. The pizza was a little on the greasy side -- which I share because I know that's a plus for some people. The breadsticks were interesting in that they were like a crispy pita bread. If I'm ever in Holt again, this place is very likely to get my business again. I know my daughter wants to go back and bring the whole family. (We have a 4 year old, though, and the dine-in experience is high tables and backless stools. So we'll be...
Read moreI lived in Chicago for 4 years, eating the well-known deep dish pizza and then moved to one of the best cities for pizza in the world, New York, where I've eaten the best pizza I've ever had in my life. I love pizza and take it quite seriously, as one should.
Whenever I am back home, I make it a point to order Fat Boy's. There is no sausage on pizza I enjoy more than at Fat Boy's. The bacon is perfectly crispy and charred as well, if bacon is your go-to topping. But if you want the best kind of pizza/slice, order the double cheese and pepperoni pizza.
The owner, Dave, is a good man and has done an excellent job of keeping Fat Boy's pizza consistently delicious over the years while making updates to the store, menu, and personality of Fat Boy's. Thank you for providing a fantastic place to get piping-hot-to-your-door-pizza...
