Ending the year 2024 with a bang! Rota Cafe and Bakery in Delran offers a unique Turkish breakfast/brunch menu. I can admit that I'm unfamiliar with the cuisine and what specifically to order. Our server was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful with suggestions and descriptions on what everything was. Pictured was food for 5 of us, and we had more than enough to take some home for leftovers. My personal favorite was the Karadeniz Yagli (black sea style Pide). Pide bread is a flat bread that can have many different types of toppings, that they bake fresh in-house in a brick oven. It's thin, crispy, and packed with great flavor. Our party enjoyed every single dish we ordered and loved the experience. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rota Cafe & Bakery in Delran, New Jersey, and I can confidently say it’s a hidden gem! Inspired by the famous Sivas Turkish breakfast tradition, this spot delivers an authentic and unforgettable experience.

The breakfast spread was absolutely phenomenal – from the fresh cheeses, olives, and jams to the perfectly baked bread and pastries. The menemen was bursting with flavor, and the simit was the best I’ve had in the area. You can taste the quality and care in every bite.

What can I say, happen to be passing by the area and got hungry. I wanted to try something different from my usual Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Greek, or American dining in downtown Philadelphia area, Multiple Mediterranean eateries popped up on the google search. Thought I would try one out. This restaurant had converted me to appreciate and explore the Turkish cuisine. Felt like I was traveling on foot in Turkey and stopped in a local favorite spot by luck.
