I visited your Delran NJ restaurant on 08/06/19 at 9:00pm. I ordered the crab lovers dream and added on the Dungeness crab, along with all the things my family ordered. When my food came to the table, I told the waitress that my food doesnโt look proportioned properly and it did not look at all the way it was pictured on the menu. The waitress said, โlet me see what I can do for youโ. A few minutes later a manager by the name of Zachary Pierce can to the table and said, โWhatโs the problem? I hear you are not happy with your food. Iโm looking at it and there is nothing we can do... The food is already portioned and we just serve itโ! I ate the Dungeness crab add on and never touched the crab lovers dream. When the waitress finally came to the table; with the check, mind you she never came to ask if we needed water or howโs the food the whole time we was there. She asked if I needed a box, and I replied , โI donโt want the crab lovers dream.โ The waitress said ok, Zachary came back and said โI donโt care if you didnโt touch the food, you ordered it you have to pay for it or I can call the police and they will be here in 5 minutesโ. While my family and I were waiting for the police to come, i explained to Zachary that I wasnโt happy with my whole experience at your restaurant and his response was โwell I hated that your kid was crying for an hour.โ I have a 4 year old and a teething 15 month old. Zachary was referencing my youngest son. The police came and said, โIf you donโt pay we will arrest you for theft of services.โ After being forced to pay for something I didnโt want and being embarrassed and threatened to be arrested in front of my wife and children. This is the worst experience Iโve ever had at a restaurant. Iโve been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years and never had a problem. While walking in; we were greeted by a server named Mary who happens to know my family and I weโll, as we visit this location frequently. She even played with our children and stated she wished we would have come sooner, because her shift just ended.Mary has been working there for years and she can tell you that I have been a faithful customer and never complain. Mary has been working there for many years , way longer than Zachary. if she heard what happened she would say, โIโve been serving that family for years and never had a problem. I guarantee she would say we are one of her best customers. Hopefully Zachary can be better trained on how to handle these type of situations. It was very clear to both my wife and I that he was racist, and to reference my child as a crying kid was totally unprofessional. It was obvious that Zachary had no respect for us because we are people of color. I also want to add the waitress apologized for the incident, and it really seemed sincere. She said โI only got the manager because I thought he was going to fix the situation, but heโs disrespectful to all of us in here.โ I have a video and would love to show you how unprofessional your manager Zachary is. ย ย ย Read moreThis place is horrible. Went there last night for our Anniversary with 9 guest. Let's start by saying the place was empty, and we were told we would have a 45 minute wait to be seated. According to her (said she was a manager, wouldn't give her name nor had a name tag) they were short staffed. So I suggested we wait at the bar order some hors d'oeuvre. Got as far as ordering a drink. The manager seats us at a long booth and table. My husband walks to the back dining area where all empty tables and a single group of 12 people. Caucasian no one else. My husband asked why we couldn't be seated back there. The manager says cause she only has one server over there and she couldn't put 2 large parties on her. That we would have to wait until this party is done and leave before we could be seated there. Now mind you there are several waiters just standing around doing nothing that were in so called training. We all just looked at each other. If they're in training wouldn't seating us down and allowing them to wait on us help train them ? Apparently she was catering to this group of 12 preferably then trying to assist us. So while we are still waiting over 20 minutes no one came to take our order. My Sister in Law called the manager over and asked her why we still waiting for a server? No one has come over brought water, menus, biscuits nothing. Finally 2 servers came over very rudely. I asked for the manager and informed her of the attitude of the servers. First she claims the servers were complaining about waiting on us, when nobody was waiting on us from the beginning. Secondly she claims we cursed at the greeter at the door. The whole group looked at her and asked her who cursed at who? She calls the young lady over who couldn't even look at us, kept claiming she didn't say at her. At this point me and my family were totally done. We got up and left. This place has very poor management and servers. The worse representation of one of my favorite places to eat. Will be following up with upper management in regards to this matter. Totally upset my family and put a damper on our Anniversary...
ย ย ย Read moreUsually would give them 5 stars every time but this year has not been a good dining experience for us. Still love the food and they have the best drinks around. In February we had a large party and our waiter was terrible. Messed up several orders and we are easy patrons. Noticed the salads were getting smaller since then. Went a week ago. Party of 6, got drinks, no lemon or olives or any garnishings on our drinks and waited pretty long for them. The place was maybe half full. Got our a appetizers 15 after that. Another 15 minutes and we didn't see our waitress so we asked a passing one if she would ask our waitress to bring us rolls. She actually said "We bring your rolls with your salad" as she walked away. 10 minutes later that same waitress put a small basket of rolls on the table. 15 more minutes and no salad. Finally our waitress appears snd we asked whete our salads were. She said she forgot! 10 minutes later we now have our salads. We nicely said "Do not bring our dinners until we are done with our salads." 5 minutes later she appears with our dinners! No room for all of the plates and some in our party just handed the salad back. We then had a small unrelated issue before we were done, they turned up the lights suddenly on full and we were blinded after finally being able to enjoy or meal. We asked an asst mgr (or at least she was a familier face) if the lights could be adjusted... and she gave us a dirty look and very dramatically rolled her eyes! We eat out frequently and have never had an employee do something so blatently disrespectful and rude. The entire table looked at each other and said "did she really do that?" On the way out I confronted her, she would not apologize, tried to change the subject, and then had the nerve to roll her eyes at me again as I turned to leave. I'm told she's been there for 20 years. Well we've been going there...
