My Wife and I don't normally do take out or fast food. We came upon Just Salad purely by accident when our refrigerator broke down, and we were forced to venture out. We opted to try one of the newer places just a few blocks from our house for convenience. Since we're currently on the Mediterranean Heart Healthy Diet, we thought salad would be a good idea. We've placed 5 orders since March. So far, we've enjoyed: Honey Crispy Chicken Salad Chicken + Tzatziki Harvest Market Plate Thai Chicken Crunch Braised Chicken + Pesto Market Plate Organic Kale and Sweet Potato Soup All of these dishes were on par with each other, and we enjoyed them all. The service is quick, ... we order online, and we arrive at the pickup time to find our order waiting on the pickup shelf and we're off and running. A friend of ours heard how much we like it and sent us a gift card. Unfortunately, the gift card cannot be used online, and I had to wait in line and place our order in person. This is the downside of the gift card, and we hope Just Salad makes note of this. Yet, my inconvenience of having to wait in line presented me with the opportunity to give special mention to an employee. I spent years as a manager/supervisor for national retail chains and have personally trained roughly 250+ employees. One of the most basic customer service skills is acknowledging the customer and making it known they are your priority. We all know this, yet it seems to be often absent in today's businesses. The moment I walked in the door, a young lady behind the counter looked past all the customers that were before me and welcomed me to Just Salad. OK, good, but expected. As she was putting together her current customer's order, she kept her head up and made eye contact with the people in line and letting them know she would be right with them. Even better. The line was getting a bit disorganized because customers weren't standing in an orderly fashion .. Some even opted to sit down in the empty booths. Yet, she was able to keep track and assure the next customer of their spot and who would be next. As well as greeting more people as they walked in. I found this impressive, as she was finalizing her customer at the Point Of Purchase and multitasking the order of the line. Then, I was next up after her now current customer, and I too, received a friendly smile and recognition for being next in line. "I'll be right with you Sir" Great. There are numerous combinations on how you can customize the salads ... I cruelly, decided to test her by engaging in some light conversation as she was constructing my order. "Do you have all these options memorized, or do you have to look at a reference?", I asked. "I have most of them memorized, but I do cheat and refer to the menu once in a while", she responded, just before looking up at the door and welcoming the next customer. "Of course you do, ... I don't see how anyone could possibly remember ALL the combinations" .... "None of you have name tags, may I ask what your name is?" "Bebe" she answered. Well Bebe, you have a promising future, young Lady. You are not just a counter person making salads, .... you are on the front line and the face of a much larger entity in a very competitive market. Never underestimate your importance in this role. This is merely a stepping stone, and soon you will be training others and passing on your skills. With your efficiency to expedite the orders quickly and accurately, plus your friendly, personalized AWESOME customer service skills, .... you are an asset to anyone who is wise enough to employ you. I have nothing but the highest expectations for Bebe. Just Salad corporate and...
Read moreDelray Dear Just Salad Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to your Delray location. I was trying to order from the kids' menu for my children, who are a little picky. After making some modifications to their orders, I was charged far more than I expected, and the overall experience was frustrating.
My son ordered the "Happy to Be Harvest" without lettuce, croutons, or salad dressing, while my daughter got the "Me Want Caesar" without kale, croutons, cranberries, apples, or dressing, with added Parmesan and chickpeas.
These modifications were mostly reductions in ingredients, yet I was charged $7.99 per salad instead of the usual $4.99 for a kids' meal.
I do not understand why I was given a hard time for the modifications, especially when most of them were removing items, and I was shocked to find that I was charged extra for what amounted to less food.
Worse, I was not informed beforehand that these changes would result in an upcharge. I hope you can address this issue, as this experience was disappointing for me and my family. I look forward to your response and an explanation of the pricing...
Read moreIf loving Just Salad is wrong, I don’t want to be right. I go here so often that I’m pretty sure the entire staff has my order memorized, and honestly, I’d trust them to make my life decisions for me at this point.
The team here is incredible—always friendly, always fast, and always acting like my daily salad addiction is a totally normal and respectable lifestyle choice. They don’t judge when I always get the same thing, and they know exactly how to mix it so every bite is perfection. That’s love.
And the food? Unreal. Fresh, crisp, and somehow makes eating healthy feel like a reward instead of a punishment. I used to think “salad” was just a sad excuse for a meal—Just Salad changed my mind and my life. Arugula runs through my veins now.
Just Salad in Delray Beach is the best thing that’s ever happened to my lunch break. And probably...
