Read moreUpdate : Today I went in to order just a chai latte without really realizing that they starting making it in the blender which makes the drink really foamy. When the drinks are really foamy, you don’t get that much of the actual drink , so it’s like you’re paying $6 for a cup of foam. I don’t like foamy drinks. I guess this is everyone’s latest scam to conserve from giving the customer to much of the actual drink. I’ve noticed that even Starbucks started blending their Matcha lattes instead of shaking them like they normally would.
Anyhow, I asked the lady if she could make the drink over again without blending it, As soon as I said something, I guess the manager, the taller guy with the longer hair came over and started being rude while we were talking trying to interrupt and ask her why she was making the drink over. It shouldn’t matter why she was making the drink over. as a customer I DID NOT like the drink having so much foam , and I’m not going to spend my money on something that I don’t want.
It was disrespectful and annoying. The polite thing to do would have been to speak to her after I walked OUT. Not to sit there and compete with me for the conversation.
*This Location definitely has some work, but I’m not surprised at all with it being on Florida full of lazy people.
My first time trying Paris baguette was in Virginia last summer, so I was excited that they were putting one in Delray Beach. So far almost every restaurant that I’ve been to in Delray Beach has been trash and this isn’t any exception. I’ve been to this location, a total of three times and every time I’ve been disappointed. Most of their pastries are dry and burnt, and they don’t have the selection of pastries that the Virginia locations had.
The only thing that I would get from this location or the little pizza’s and that’s it… everything else was horrible. I tried the rainbow cake, and it was extremely dry, and I also tried the blueberry yogurt cake, which was made very poorly. It was falling apart and as I was taking about the third or the fourth bite , I pulled a long brown hair out of it, and I ended up throwing it in the trash at my Hotel.
I’ve also had a few of their breakfast pastries, and they were just OK as well. If I were you, I would stick with the local French/ Italian bakery down the street called Gremla. It’s smaller, but the pastries are delicious and seem to be prepared properly. I’ve never been...
Read moreBeen anticipating this place opening for a while & it's a spectacular display that is reminiscent of a high end french patisserie. Let me shoot straight to the bad news first, before I give you my assessment of what I ordered. If you want anything hot, other than coffee, you need to have them reheat the product. For example, all the sandwiches are pre-made ( not to order) & kept cold! Is it fresh made that morning? Yup, but it differs from say, The French Bakery down the street. While it's not made to order there either, you can get a great sandwich, but at room temperature or sometimes still warm from oven. I'm a big fan of "still warm from the oven" My croissant was at room temperature & delicious.... the sticky milk bread however was cool to cold...that really defeats the point (at least for me). It tasted wonderful & sticky (note to management, you need to have wet nap packs available, not crazy about going to the restroom to wash my hands before leaving), but having it cool to cold is such a let down. Mind you, their business model is set up for high volume, hence reheat. I did not try a beverage, however noticed that their coffee equipment (see pics) is as automated as technology will allow, again, set up for high volume. I will go back & of course try other visually amazingly appealing products & have them reheated, so more to come. Congratulations on their opening & it seems to be a great addition to the plaza, especially their...
