After my first great experience at Keke's, I planned to write a review. Never did. Till now. What finally ended my procrastination is what happened two weeks ago . . . That's when two dear friends of mine - a married couple visiting from California - came to visit. They and I had enjoyed Keke's at another location during their visit, two years ago. When I told them that there was now a KeKe's in Delray Beach (where I live), they were eager to try it. So, we went there the first morning and well . . . my friends were here for four days, and we had breakfast at KeKe's Delray all four days! Breakfast at Keke's became a cherished part of their visit. Enjoy a meal there and I think you'll understand why. Every time I've walked into KeKe's - before and since those four breakfasts with my friends - I've felt a welcoming kind of experience. The restaurant's decor - relaxing colors and an uncluttered look - are part of the reason. The most welcoming part, though, is the way the staff has greeted me/us. That seems to be a testament to excellent hiring and training. Keke's must be a great place to work. And the food? Always just delicious and always served exactly as I'd ordered it. I usually order some kind of omelet, sometimes with a waffle or pancake. Perfect! And so is the coffee. (Both of my friends ordered the breakfast "combo" every day. They loved [and ate] every morsel.) I've had breakfast at Keke's five times now, and every part of each experience has been perfect. Every server has been beyond attentive and genuinely friendly. My California friends and I were lucky to be served 3 of the 4 mornings by a young woman named Izzy. What a treasure. (The other server, George, was terrific, too.) The first time I ate at the Delray Beach Keke's - a couple of months ago - my friend and I were so impressed that we asked the manager to come to our table. We told him (his name is Bill) how impressed we were with the service and the food. And when my California friends visited, they were so impressed with everything, they called Bill over to compliment him. Bill stopped by our table each morning. My friends loved the place and the people so much that they and I asked Bill and Izzy to pose for a photo with us. They did. I've eaten in many, many restaurants in my long life. Never asked to have a picture taken with any restaurant's staff member(s) before. Honestly, I can't think of a single negative about Keke's Breakfast Cafe. It's a place that consistently delivers on all fronts: impeccable service, delicious food, and a wonderfully comfortable atmosphere. If you're looking for an exceptional breakfast or brunch experience in Delray Beach, look no further. Keke's is, in my...
Read moreWhen I walked in, it was immediately clear that it was the place to be. Every table was full, the line stretched to the door, and the sound of conversation and clattering dishes filled the air. It was busy — the kind of busy that would send most restaurants into disarray. But not here. Despite the crowd, everything moved with remarkable efficiency and calm. At the center of this orchestral masterpiece stood Bill, the manager — a maestro in an apron. Watching him work was nothing short of mesmerizing. He conducted the staff with effortless grace, weaving through the bustling floor like a practiced artist applying the final strokes to a masterpiece. Each gesture was purposeful, each decision fluid. When the crowd surged, he never faltered; he simply adjusted the tempo. It was, quite literally, a work of art in motion. Our server, Jonathan, was the embodiment of composure and charm. Despite the full house, he carried himself with the calm assurance of someone who knows he’s part of something exceptional. Coffee never ran dry, plates arrived hot and beautifully arranged, and his genuine warmth and precision elevated the entire experience. And the food? Sublime. The French toast was impeccable. Home fries, crisped to delicate perfection, were a harmonious balance of crisp exterior and velvety interior with each bite. The omelets — rich, tender, and filled with flavor — spoke of a kitchen that values both technique and heart. Each bite reminded me that breakfast, when executed with such care, can transcend mere sustenance and become an art form in itself. In a morning filled with movement and noise, what stood out most was the seamless choreography — a testament to Bill’s leadership and Jonathan’s finesse. Watching them turn a busy rush into a performance of precision and hospitality was a privilege. Would give more than five stars if I could — not just for the meal, but for the masterpiece of management that made...
Read moreEverything was comfortable. Blood withdrawal before breakfast did not allow me to enjoy the beautiful presentation. Brand new temporary teeth were unable to masticate properly due to fitting problem. Biggest problem with food was there was too much goodness and not enough me to enjoy. I appreciate the turkey bacon and turkey sausage available. I ate every bite. The extra pat of butter for the grits hit my favorite taste spot. The rye toast was wonderful but I exceeded my carb limit. Must admit did not enjoy the hash browns as much as I would have liked. They were in an ample portion. Just not right for me this first time at restaurant. Absolutely must complement the wait staff and true hospitality shown. Since it was a first time visit, will need more experience with menu and food [as well as my body] to truly give a more detailed review. Today in October, my nurse drove me to retry this restaurant. I had the 4 piece Buffalo Chicken Strips with fries while he had a Bacon Cheeseburger with onion Rings. We swapped Rings and Fries. Neither of us could finish our meals due to size of portions. Do not tell my wife, but I enjoyed 2 pickle slices which came with his meal. Actually, one only came with his meal but waitress had pity on me. She got a big appropriate tip for service and smiles. When I can drive again, will be back...
